I just re-read the article Bill Koch wrote at the beginning of February. He quotes Mike Bohn saying, "I believe that we all recognize that by the end of next season is a critical time for us to be a go or no go." So there still seems to be a VERY loose deadline. And that's if they even choose to do anything. A conversation about arena renovation needs to be had. I realize UC is addressing it but the fans need to start lighting the fire under their ass to get it done.

I suppose that's true. What happens when the financial model that the athletic department has put forward with the Nippert renovation doesn't completely pay off? Then would they deem Fifth Third Renovations not necessary?

I'm not saying the new financial model that comes with Nippert won't play out as expected, but it's no certainty.

What I found disturbing is that the University of Cincinnati was the 2nd least likely choice to be answered correctly. Has our notoriety really dropped off so far that people think of Oregon State and Minnesota basketball before us?
