How many McDonald's badgers have?
Sam dekker was a huge 5 star recruit (#17 per espn and #13 per yahoo overall) but I do not believe was named to the all American game

uhhhh, what?!? You do realize Duke had 8 scholarship players on their team in which every single one of them was a McDonald's All-American?
Also, LSU just happened to get a commit from the #1 player in the country, the only reason they'd have a better class than Duke.
And all were McDonald's All-Americans.
Jennifer may end up being awesome, but comparing him to Duke's players does him an injustice. Also, UC still needs shooters and I'm not sure if that will change next year..

And LSU are also favorites to grab 2-3 more top 50-75 players. The McDonalds all american tag is becoming more and more overrated. Michigan State and Wisconsin didnt seem to need them. And I should have been more specific in my previous post which is my bad. What I was getting at is Coach K doesn't normally sign one and done guys until maybe the last 2-3 years. So to say money bought that championship was simply misguided.
Some of the players are deserving but looking back now do we really believe Jefferson and Plumlee were MCDAA caliber.
A lot of the hype comes from where these kids commit. The fact is, unless you are a can't miss top 10 player in the class, if you commit to Duke, Kentucky, etc, you will have a better chance to be a McDonald's AA.

it's all about finding right program that fit your style and where it's family environment. So many players just Chase the scenery of campus and money. I don't understand guys that go to school hundreds of miles away from family and they don't have resources to come see you play. Every player wants their family at games. Moore looked like he hadn't seen family since summer time.Maybe, but it's hard to argue that the McDAA's are generally the top players in the class. There will always be busts and players that some misjudge, but by and large those are the best players.

At the same time some players need to get away from their home environment. And I think some coaches don't want to deal with the headaches of having kids families and entourages for lack of a better word hanging around all the time.
Yes it is. Helps big time if family has resources to attend games. Entourages and family was their before the coach so I don't believe that theory.
