“I showed Shaq Thomas and Justin their percentage of finishing after getting an offensive rebound,” Cronin said. “It was extremely low. I don’t want to tell you what it is because I don’t want to embarrass them.” :D

this all sounds good, but does titus still have a green light like last year? if he starts jacking 3 balls does he see the bench more? can justin play with out fouling on both ends of the floor? just so many questions about this front line right now.

I wouldn't have even conceived of this about a month ago but I think we go about as far as JJ has improved or can give us good minutes at the 5.

I am not concerned anymore at PG because, while I don't think we have a "standout" right now, we have many players who can service in a pinch. Injury or foul trouble won't kill us at PG...it will allow us to explore more options. Injury or foul trouble could kill us at the 5 spot...unless we can imagine TR or JL being a serviceable post player.

Yeah, if Strickland isn't eligible, that could hurt, he'd be a warm body and 5 fouls at the 5 if/when needed at a minimum.

I don't have high hopes but I'd love for Mick to prove me wrong this season. If you're a coach with a dynamic system you can win without a ton of 5 star talent around you if you recruit the right guys for your system.

I fear that inevitably we'll be hearing the same stuff next year about how we haven't had the right players to run the system Mick wants to run, as if that's somehow a reasonable excuse.

"Cronin is looking for improvement in that area this season, especially from Jackson, who has gained 20 pounds and has been an offensive force in practice. The UC coach said he’d be surprised if Jackson doesn’t average at least 12 points and has compared him with former UC star Eric Hicks."

That's the part that really has me intrigued. If Jackson can score in double figures and be a guy you can give the ball to in the post and trust to make the right play... Wow, this team is going to be really good.

I agree. As sure as the sun rises in the east, when conference play starts the games will be played in the 50's and 60's.

Tommy G said on twitter he believes the starting line up for tomorrow's game will be Guyn, SK, Sanders, Rubles and Jackson.

I can't wait for tomorrow! Enough with that mid-major football crap.

I can't wait either. I got a slight up grade to my seats. I'm in the same section, but have the aisle seats closer to the court as opposed to the aisle seats farther away. I'm hoping the sight line is better. Plus, obviously, I'm ready to see this team in action.
