Can someone tell me how on earth UL is still #12??? We have basically the same resume as they do. I thought for sure they'd drop to around 19.

A lot of ranked teams lost last week, so that probably softened their fall a bit.

24 seems too low. It's funny how if Cash hits that 3 against Cuse, we probably go up to 15'ish. But he missed it by 2 inches and we're to 24th.

Oh well...hopefully, it keeps our guys hungrier. We need to go on a run here starting with Rutgers and SHU.

If Wichita State is still ranked I will keel over, same for San Diego State, same for NCST. I would like to think we will be 18-20 range with a lot of teams losing last week.

I will take 17. I think they are aboout to go on a tear. They have been playing great defense... Make some shots and they will put together a nice stretch..

cbssportsline.com has them 17 in their rankings. Hope I remember that right.

AP: #17 spot on Jeff! What is crazy in the AP is 20-25....

G'town: 20
Pitt: 23
MU: 24
ND: 25

Apparently MU getting spanked by loserville didn't hurt them at all. 7 BE teams ranked. The BE teams are beating up each other as always lol

Fell out of the top 25 as expected; 28th most votes. #15 Georgetown comes to the Shoe Friday night.

They are not a top 25 team right now. The vibe of this team isn't good to me. I'm not saying they can't turn it around, but they are reeling a bit right now and searching for answers when championship teams are usually fine honing things.

I agree. For recent context, UCONN lost 4 of their last 5 regular season games in the 10-11 season before going on to win the Big East tourney and NCAA tourney (including beating the Cats along the way). The Cats aren't a perfect team, but nobody else in the NCAA is either. If they can pull out of this funk they can beat anyone.

I'm sure most people saw this already, but we received 20 votes in the AP poll putting us at #30. If we beat UCONN and Notre Dame this week, we would probably be ranked again. If we lose to both of them, we would probably not get any votes at all. At this point, no result would shock me.

Nuff said right there, agreed brother. :-/

Still receiving the 30th most votes just goes to show how many teams are struggling for consistency. With this many ranked teams losing you'd normally see more mid-majors in the polls, especially from the Missouri Valley. In the last few weeks Creighton has gone 1-3, Wichita State 3-3, and Indiana St. 2-3.

No doubt. This year is crazy. Some may call it great, some may call it awful. The fact of the matter is without a truly dominant team, any top 13 seed has a shot at Atlanta. That may be hyperbole, but you get my point.

Agreed. I think this year seeding won't matter much for UC because they can play and beat pretty much anyone. They are their own toughest opponent.
