X is done as a university and as a basketball program. Horrible people associated with that university.

They won't win 10games this year mark my words

My experience as a graduate student at X has been very positive. People have been great and welcoming. Couldnt disagree more.

Having said that. X can lose all their games next year and it wouldnt bother me a bit.

I don't get how any of this ever had to do with Xavier as an academic institution. Frankly, athletics and academics are completely separate.

That said, Xavier has some problems as previously noted and the basketball team does as well.

I know we all have problems in life that we have to deal with but man it always bothered me to see athletes with great talents and opportunities that I wish I had blow it. I wonder if they knew he had some sort of problem coming in? Very unfortunate for him.

In regards to your comment, check out Mr. Tony Farmer getting sentenced...talk about a waste.

A good friend of mine who is a huge X fan told me last year that the BOT at X does not like Mack at all and would not be suprsised if Mack got canned in the next few years regardless of the performence of the team. They are fed up with him. The guy has a history of being shady. He was reportedly dating a girls basketball player when he was in his late 20's coaching Mount Notre Dame High School. He threw a ball at a players face while at Evansville which was one of the dirtiest plays you will ever see in college basketball.

Pat Kelsey leaves and says it is to be closer to family yet he moves down to South Carolina which is away from his family ( since they all live in Cincinnati). Word is Kelsey did not like the way Mack did things and they were good friends so he left the program. He did not like the way Mack pushed Canty and Latham out the door after there first year and also had a big problem with Lyons and Tu. Kelsey recurited Dez to X and by all reports Dez had a reputation as being a great kid. Kelsey leaves and then Dez does this. I am not saying that means anything but it is ironic.

The Brawl and the way he handled it was flat out awful as we know.

Yelling profanities at UD fans a few years ago. Classy

Couple that with the FBI poking around about alleged cover up on rapes in the past ( One that was with a former player reprodetly). Dez Wells was sacrified to safe face so X can tell the Feds they have zero tolerance for this sort of thing. No criminal charges were filed and it was a he said she said sort of thing. You can be that if the Feds were not looking at them this would have been brushed under the rug.

The big money donors and BOT are not happy and I can see Mack getting the ax. I for one hope he stays at X because this is good TV but something tells me he is on borrowerd time.

as for dating the girls at MND, that isnt speculation, that is a fact. i know the girl(s), he was 27-28 and the girls were all under 18.

How different would your experience have been if you had gone to UC for undergrad instead of MSJ?

Knuckleheads????? I would say that "alleged" sexual assault and rape should prompt a more severe description than "knucklehead". He's gone because of the recent finding by the Civil Rights Commission on behalf of my daughter and several other young women, who, over the years have paid the price of some of these "quality" (said sarcastically) recruits who were protected above all else in the name of Xavier basketball. It was adios to him or Xavier would probably lose Title IX funding.

Are you saying that your daughter was sexually assaulted by De Wells?

No. Her assault was by another player who was let go last year. My point was that had these young women not pressed forward with their claims to the Civil Rights organization and gone public, this incident would probably have also been swept under the rug with a smack on the hands. That has been Xavier's method of operation in the past.

Never considered UC. Too big for me. Msj was too small. X is a good fit for me academically. Just curious, I wonder how many but posters went to UC?

Sad tale for an overly proud school.

Not much to hang your hat on when the war cry has been superior and unrivaled morals and ethics.

It's unfortunate that sexual assaults, rapes and cover-ups have forced even the most blind eye Eggsavier fan to find sight.

Most importantly, there are several young women that will never forget the actions of individuals, an athletic department and university.

Congratulations Eggsavier basketball program...ruining the lives of fellow students.

These actions cannot be defended. Advice to Eggsavier fans......go in a hole and come out in a few weeks. The weather will change, the wind will blow a different direction and a new story will emerge. Until then, just hide.

This, sweeping under the rug, has gone on for years. There have been multiple cases that never saw the light of day. It's this false sense of "holier than thou" that makes me despise Xavier. If everything comes out, it'll really damage the credibility of the university as a whole.

UC grad.

I actually feel bad for the XU grads that I know. They are good, loyal fans that don't deserve their program to be run off the rails by an incompetent coach like Mack.

Of course not, but he's the one at the helm now. The dysfunction has reached a boiling point with their fans under his watch. It started with Matta and got progressively worse.
