Go Huskies! LONG LIVE THE AAC! (Until a better football conference throws us an invite)
I used to root for UC's conference mates to do well, and even though we need AAC credibility I am not sure what comes from this amazing UCONN run in the tourny. It makes the AAC look better, but then again it could help the Huskies get into another conference (likely the ACC).
They've already won 3 national championships in the past 15 years or so. They don't have anything left to prove in basketball. If basketball was one of the most important factors in the ACC's expansion, they would have been invited a long time ago. I wouldn't worry too much about this expediting UConn leaving the AAC. I hope both our programs get out soon though, because both are deserving.

And there were actually posters on here that tried to argue that UConn was just a 2-man team. Daniels is a very good player.
The road for UK just keeps getting easier and easier. Sickening.
We get money for every game they win and they won't be going to the ACC unless another team leaves.I used to root for UC's conference mates to do well, and even though we need AAC credibility I am not sure what comes from this amazing UCONN run in the tourny. Aaron Harrison hit a three to beat Louisville, Michigan and now Wisconsin. That is incredible. Kentucky will play Connecticut for the National Title.
Didn't Louisville do that last year?I am excited to watch UConn vs Kentucky tonight. Amazing that UConn is playing for both the Men's and Women's title again (won both in '04). Also poetic that Kentucky's last NCAA tournament loss was to UConn in the '11 Final Four. I know most are picking Kentucky but there is something special about this UConn team.
Didn't Louisville do that last year?
THANKS for confirming. I thought Louisville made the finals in both men and women.Women lost in the championship.

couldn't agree more. They did, however they got blown out by 30+ against Connecticut. UofL had an amazing 2013: Men's basketball won National Title, Women's basketball made the Final 4, football won the Sugar Bowl against Florida, baseball made the College World Series. Now it is UConn's turn to have a great year for men's and women's basketball.
I could only wish UC could have half that success. Too bad they always come up small on the big stage.
