Yes...we clearly did not play well in the tourney.
I am an optimist/realist...in that I prefer to think about the positives but understand the reality of the situation too. The reality is we aren't playing well. The optimist in me says CJB is smart and we have been dealing with injuries and installing new offense. The frosh are still adjusting to the speed of D1 and will only learn over time.
I don't like how it's looking right now but we need to see more to make any bold predictions. I am right now a skeptical optimist...LOL!

I mean, we're 6 games into a new regime. How about you at least pretend to be a supporter of this program and school? Cuz if you're not then how about you hit the road and find someone else to pretend to root for.

We have to get a handle on the turnovers. There is something to be said for letting players play through their mistakes but there is enough game video now to teach a player what he can or cannot do. There has to be some repercussion for players that don't add a lot of value on offense and also turn the ball over. If they are scoring or assisting that's another story.
CJB needs to come back and tell his players...if you do these things you will be pulled out of the game. We are not a disciplined team right now but I don't want them to be over disciplined either.
We need to find that middle ground. Some players can do just fine in a faster pace but some are not quite ready and need to be more careful. If we could cut back on 5 TO's per game that is 5 more opportunities to score and perhaps 5 less easy opportunities for the other team to score.

it just says that on my name. Im a fan. Who was pretty upset with the way the team I care about and spend money on looked in the tourney. I'm pretty fearful we fall into obscurity, which isn't hard to do in the countries most under appreciated conference.
They can take away the moderator tag anytime they want. I was asked to do it. And when I was asked, no one ever said my opinions now had to be state run media like.

I have zero beef with John Brannen. But if Mick Cronin dropped 24 spots in kenpom in what should have been the cake walk of all cake walks tournament, then I’d be on his ass too.
I was absolutely fine with the way we were playing going into paradise jam and I was even fine after we squeezed out a win on Friday night. But Saturday I watched a coach seemingly get out coached by a mid major team. Who the next day got its ass kicked by first year coach Steve Alford. Then last night, we once again blow a 10 point lead to low level MVC team.
I'm not sure if you're delusional or literally post so much fueled by your fangirl passion that you don't even remember what you say. After the first game you were already talking about Brannen wasn't a good coach, comparing last years team stats to 1 game so far this year, and comparing what Mick would have done. After one game.
I could bet there aren't more than 2 people on this forum who would agree you want Brannen to succeed and don't have something against him (replacing your beloved). I truly believe you would prefer we suck for 3 years, get a new coach you approve of, and then do well vs you be wrong and Brannen do well.
Also to self-proclaim your amazing contribution to this board is also laughable. The majority of people would likely prefer you didn't post here again. Posting a lot doesn't mean you're actually saying anything.

After OSU I said I wasn’t happy with the way Jarron was used and that he was out coached by holtman in the 2nd half.
I quickly moved on.
And I’ll quickly move if we right the ship. If we win the rest of the home games on our schedule I’ll be ecstatic.

Diarra is clearly better at rebounding. Diarra leads Vogt by a good margin in rebounds per 40 minutes, defensive rebounds per 40 and DRB and TRB percentage. Vogt leads in offensive rebounding, but that's because Vogt did some major stat padding against A&M and Illinois St: the two worst teams we have faced and two teams with no one close to his size. Against those two teams he had 12 combined offensive rebounds, against everyone else he has 3.
Defensively is harder to measure statistically, but what I see is Diarra is clearly superior (Diarra does have a quite a bit better DRTG than Vogt). Vogt gets shot over regularly and provides no help defense. Multiple times a game the other team scores on a drive and Vogt is leaving the paint because his only focus is his own man. Diarra is much more of a rim protector and shot blocking presence.
Offensively Vogt is superior, but Diarra has plenty of potential on the offensive end.
I just want to win. I want to be nationally relevant. I want to recruit at a high level.
