Pierce Thomas was at the Wichita State game and was crystal balled to UC later that evening. He is a 2021 SG/SF who is 6'5 out of Brownsburg Indiana. Holds an offer from UC and Butler and he unofficially visited Ohio State in the fall of 2018. He is also being looked at by other Indiana schools such as Purdue, Indiana and Indiana State. He currently sits at a 3* on 247 sports and a 2* on most other recruiting services.

Ranked 190 nationally, #44 SF nationally and 10th in the state of Indiana.
His stats won't really wow you but he is an incredible athlete with some serious hops, he is more of an facilitator on his high school team and he's only shooting 31% from 3 and has some wonky shooting mechanics.

If you love recruiting stars and rankings you probably won't love this guy but I believe he fits into the John Brannen mold of wanting athletes and that's exactly what this kid is.

Could be one of those guys that he thinks is going to blow up this summer. Trying to get him before the big boys start showing up. Who knows

31% from 3 was as a sophomore, he's at 35% as a Jr. He shot 29% as a freshman. the shot is coming along. this guy looks hyper-athletic. very quick jumper. from his stats he's an all around guy, scores, rebounds, and passes.

His shot doesn't look wonky to me, when I read that I expected to see something like Eason's shot.

the mold for a john brannen wing is becoming clear. lets hope we get enough of the right guys.

Yep, brannen seems to prioritize 6’4-6’6 wings that cans shoot. Mick seem to prioritize the 6’3-6’4 guards that could score. Seemed like we always had one. Jacob, sk, jarron.

Reading about him, sounds similar to Keith, freak athlete with a poor shot

i really didn't see a shot that looked anywhere was weird as keiths. maybe the angles were bad but the form didn't look too bad. he probably starts the shot lower than you'd want, but the progression in 3 point % is encouraging.

hopefully we get him.

That was quick. First time I heard of the guy was 2 days ago, he’s committed to butler. Thanks for playing. At least we can move on
