Looking forward to the game on Saturday. Just wanted to drop by and talk about the game a little bit.

I figured I would start out with a pretty neat fact for Cincy. Pitt is 13-1 all time at the Pete against top 10 teams. The only team to come in and get a win is your Cincy team this year.

I don't think Pitt matches up well with your guards. They gave us fits last game and I expect that to be the same this game.

In every game Pitt has lost this year they have been out rebounded. Our starting PF who has been in a bit of a shooting funk just got hurt. The bad news for Pitt is that he has also been rebounding very well. Pitt is going to miss him on the glass big time considering his back up is really a small forward playing out of position.

If Zanna can't go then I expect the back up C to play some PF against Cincy. That will really hurt the Pitt depth.

Looking forward to a good tough game.

Pitt is catching us after one of our ugliest losses in recent memory. Hopefully that is a good thing and we come out and play with purpose. With this team you never know. One thing for certain is it will be a close game regardless of the outcome. This team mentally shuts down when it gets a lead bigger than 8 points. We typically play tough and rebound with a purpose but also we like to shoot the three ball too much. Play tight D and we will get rattled and only look for long jumpers. It's really that easy, but our defense will keep us in any game. I expect an ugly, pull your hair out nail-biter. If we come ready to play and aren't too cold shooting I like our chances vs. anybody. That seems to be about a 50-50 chance anymore though.

Welcome to the site! Honestly, I look for a very fired up Bearcat basketball team to show up on Saturday. Any time you play a Jamie Dixon team you better come to play and take care of the ball. If UC is as loose with the ball against Pitt as it was against Providence they'll get blown out. I was on record saying the Providence game had me nervous and we lost. I don't think Cincinnati will lose 2 in a row and think they are going to play with a chip on their shoulder Saturday evening. Anyone who follows the team knows that's when they play their best.

Thanks for the welcome. It seems like every time Pitt has to play a ranked team this year that team has lost the game before. I am expecting a really tough environment tomorrow night for the game. Pitt has @Cincy and @Marquette in the next two. Most realistic Pitt fans are just hoping for a split.

I will say this though. The Pitt team you saw early in the year is not the same team they are now. Ziegler is a completely different guy off of the bench and the freshman big man is finally having the game start to slow down for him.

Really looking forward to a good game tomorrow. You have a tough team and program. Love the way your guards play.

I think Adams and Patterson will have huge games against us. Adams has really come into his own and it seems Patterson always hits a ton of jumpers against us. With the way our offense is and Pitt being one of the best defenses we will face, pitt has a great chance to win. I think the crowd will be extremely rowdy but it hasn't helped us much this year unfortunately.

Welcome. This will be a tough game like all in the BEAST, I do not like the fact that we beat you at home earlier. I think we are in a bit of a downward trend at the moment and Pitt may have the edge leading into this game. The Providence game was downright bad, and if we come out flat once again in the first half, this game is over. We need to score at least 30 points in the first half to win this game.

at times uc looked really good, I dont understand why mick stopped subbing in Guyn towards the end of the half to give cash a break, good high intensity game, second half we have to keep the intensity up! Shaq thomas is great at finishing at the rim, but does he practice shooting in a room that is 11 feet tall, because there is absolutely no arc on his shot...

They got away from taking the ball to rim like the first half. They have struggled in the paint defensively and they can't score. They live and die by the three!

It's pretty simple. The expectations for this team had a lot to do with having a 5th year PG that can give you 15 a night. Since the injury we've been left with a guy that looks like a 4th or 5th guy off the bench, at best. Guyn is a better player right now.

Since the injury:

11-53 FG (21%)
11 assists/12 turnovers

No idea how Adams played 29 minutes without fouling out. Almost every offensive move he either cleared space with an elbow or used it to hook his man to get a shot off. He also committed an offensive foul on nearly every Pitt foul shot that had a block out. You can't use both hands to push a guy off the block. Adams got away with murder in the paint, but Pitt was the better team tonight.

I had my issues with Cash before the injury. I stated early in the season that he was playing like a SG and he needs to play like a PG. He was good when he was making 3's but let's be honest, that's all it's been all season. If he makes 3's he's good but if he doesn't he has very little impact on the game. I'm sorry but if you are a 5th year senior that has been running the show for a while now you don't have stat lines like tonight. Eleven 3 point attempts and only one attempt inside the 3 point line? Would maybe make sense if you were hitting, but guess what Cash, you were one for 10 before your 11th three. Take the hint Cash....

SK had one point in the second half. Parker didn't give anything.

This team is definitely regressing. They put up another whopping 21 point in a half effort. Cronin needs to be embarrassed with the offense they are displaying after how bad he talked up this team and this offense in the preseason.
