What does that have to do with Jermaine Lawrence having to become the best player? Who gives a shit as long as we are winning?

Doesn't. Mick will be signing a contract extension in the offseason. His job will not be remotely on the line. Lawrence does not have to be dominant for this team to have success. There will be multiple options on offense. Losing SK will allow other players to shine. The formula for success isn't a dominant player, but multiple players that are difficult to gameplan for. That IMO is what Mick is aiming for.

You could make case KJ had better freshman yr than JL. I would still love to know what the huge difference between playing the 4 and 5 at the college level is. Outside of New Mexico, who did we play that had a really good 7-footer?

Out of 68 teams its quite EMBARRASSING if school of our caliber doesn't make tourny. Stop setting the car so low as just making tourny. Youre assuming everyone used the 5 to set screens in the high post, you also are forgetting we switched back. Lawrence did not spend the majority of his time guarding the perimeter because of a switch. He was in the post banging away. Yes we switch every screen but he was greatly out manned when he had to guard a 5 in the post.

I stand by that. If he just gets stronger he'll be a double double Guy going forward. He's going get opportunity to start next yr by default and I've never seen Mick take player out of line up. Unless he changes Guyn, Thomas Sanders and JL will start next year either with TC/KJ.
