I want him to say"we'll see...if he works hard and gains strength he could be a good player" - not that he's going to be the best player on the team. That just has no credibility based on what any of us saw. I hope Mick is right - I'm just tired of players being talked up who are not all that

Lawrence is definitely the most talented player on the team. He was really starting to find his role on the team before he got hurt against Memphis. Unfortunately he got hurt right before the stretch of bottom feeders as UC went nearly a month between playing good competition. For that I don't really blame Mick for not bringing him along this season.

If he can get into the gym this offseason, bulk up and watch some film there is no reason why he cannot be a double figure scorer. As I was telling you guys before the season, Lawrence WAS not going to be a huge scorer this season. I said he'd have his moments but it wouldn't be consistent. Getting him back to his natural spot will be key.

Caupain, Johnson, Thomas, Clark, and Lawrence are probably as talented than anyone we've had on our roster under Cronin outside of SK, Yancy, and Lance.

I love Mick Cronin's defensive mindset, but it's getting close to time to put up or shut up on offense. If this team isn't an efficient offensive machine by the 2015-16 season, that's when I will say with complete honesty that Mick Cronin can't teach offense worth a damn.

I will give him the benefit of the doubt next season with all the youth. But I am still stupefied at how incompetent we are on offense.

I expected us to be a bubble team this year, and we way overachieved in the regular season. But I am so disappointed at how this team played down the stretch. Somehow, Mick has to find a way to get his guys playing their best basketball in March.

When he was in game 90% of time he was taller than his opponent. Its not like he every had to play against any 7footers.

Every position requires different things. It's like turning a double play from SS or 2nd base. Both are in the infield but it s totally different.

Ur right we play different than 97% of teams. We switch every screen. Our players don't have position on D because we rotate EVERYTHING.

He had to learn how to play both the 4 and 5 spots which is tough for someone who's never played on the inside that much. Next year he won't have to play the center spot since UC's got 3 guys upfront.

The difference between playing the 4 and the 5 in college basketball isn't THAT different. Is he too skinny to bang against guys that weigh 250? Of course he is. But there are power forwards with that kind of size too. And I don't recall a single minute this season that he wasn't on the floor with either JJ or Rubles. Neither are very tall, but both are strong enough to guard anyone under 7 feet tall.

Lawrence has a ton of potential, but the playing out of position card is way overused. The difference between a 2 and a 3, and the difference between a 4 and a 5... they exist. But it's nothing compared to playing 2nd base or SS.

Think next year it will be more traditional because the people in the positions will be more "traditional skill sets" for their roles.

Jermaine Lawrence? He doesn't have high level basketball instincts and he's not coordinated. He isn't strong and can't create for himself. What exactly does he do? I'm sorry my first post is questioning J.L but I have serious doubts he will impact this team.

What was difference between JJ and Rubles defense responsibilities? Is Lawrence playing 3 next year. He just gotta get stronger he was in his right position on this team just used wrong. I see a Chris Bush type game with him.

Lawrence isn't as experienced as either of those two. Rubles and Jackson were two of the best defensive players in the country. He has been used to playing on the wing his whole career and there were times that Lawrence was the biggest guy on the floor. Next year you will probably understand what I am saying now. There will be 3 true centers on the roster.

We have nobody that's coming back that average over 7pts and no recruit that is rated higher than JL. Mick job could be on line if JL doesn't develop into his best player in next 2yrs. I see Clark and DeBerry being more effective next yr though.

Mick's job is not on the line, not even close. BTW, the WVU fans in Morgantown are really abandoning ship and pressing for a new coach.

As of now he can't shoot nor take his man of dribble. He is pretty decent defender in post and exceptional rebounder. His career is as a4/5 not on wing.
