Here is a very brief preview of the Cats first Regular season game! http://cincinnati.com/blogs/uc/2013/11/05/first-look-at-nc-central/

I don't know much, if any about NC Central but by just reading I don't think it will be a push over that's for sure. It also makes me nervous hearing they have two senior guards who can score. But we should def. be able to handle it. I would love to hear others thought's and if they know any more about the NC Central.

I say we come out a little reserve and have a tough time getting points early on. I will say a score of: UC-73 NC Central-59

Its game week finalllly! :D

This should be a decent game to start the season. NC Central was 22-9 last year and as the article states returns seniors. It would be ideal if they could finish in the top 150 RPI again.

I just have to say I have the greatest wife because for her birthday last year I got her season tickets for the Aronoff Center and we had tickets for this Friday night to go see Flashdance the Musical, which coincides of course with the season opener. Now what's a man to do in this situation as her going to the play without me is not an option? Well she was nice enough to say if I could exchange the tickets for another show than it would not be an issue. So that's what I did (we went last Friday, I can give a review if anyone wants) and I exchanged the tickets the day of Midday Madness when I was a block away anyway. Now she isn't going to read this post, but I believe in karma, so I had to put it out there. She's also great because she hates sports and not only lets me have season tickets to both football and basketball, but she goes to every game with me and cheers right there with me. And she growled and waved her claws at the Vandy team coming off the elevator in the hotel before the Liberty Bowl.

So...long story short, I'll be at the game and can't wait for the season to start.

That's funny because that's the way I look at these type of opponents. Of course we all hope we don't crap on ourselves and lose the game, but we just hope they can win their conference and not kill our RPI.

That's funny because I have to go watch "The Book of Mormon" on Friday night (in Orlando) with some non BB fan friends. It's been set for weeks and I didn't have enough foresight to check the schedule. Hopefully I can catch a replay on ESPN3 or be the Dik in the crowd watching BB on his phone during the game "silent mode". I heard it's funny but I could save $200 and watch the Cats for free? No brainer!! Had I asked my wife she would have understood though...so I am with you on the cool wife thing.

That's funny. I have actually seen the Book of Mormon last year and it is fu*king hilarious! You will not be disappointed. Trey Parker and Matt Stone are geniuses.

I should mention she is a huge FL Gator fan/alum and doesn't like OSU for obvious reasons (Urban Meyer etc). She's been to a couple BB games as well as 2 football games at USF and we made the trip to UC when we clinched the Orange Bowl years ago and she watched me run on the field to celebrate like an 8th grader (drunk 8th grader). She said "Act like you've been there" and I had to tell her we had never been there:)

Thanks. I am glad to hear I won't be disappointed. I thought it would be a good show but better on Thurs or Sat than Fri:)

We got tickets to Book of Mormon whenever it comes here. Good to know it will be good. Yeah, I ordered tickets for Fridays figuring that shouldn't interfere with games. Hopefully this is the only issue. It is good that with a show running for about two weeks you can exchange your tickets for any show, assuming it's not sold out.

does anyone know off the top of your head if you can record or watch later an ESPN3 game?

I'll warn you, I watched the UC-South Florida football game on ESPN3 replay and since it was a replay they had little prompts for highlights at the bottom of the screen on the timeline. There were black ones for UC pointed one way and green ones for USF pointed the other way. It was very clear to see this and see that USF had way more highlights to show than UC did, so I pretty much knew they lost right away. Not sure how that would work for basketball as there are alot more scoring plays and turnovers than in football, so it might not be as obvious. But I was highly disappointed they would do this. I know some people rewatch games they've already seen or if they already know the outcome, but I am not one of those people. Just a heads up.

Sometimes, if you're short on time, you just want to watch the highlights/lowlights. Kind of like fastforwarding your DVR.

I could see that and it wouldn't have bothered me as much if they would have just had pinpoints to highlights you could go to, but by seperating them by team it showed South Florida had way more than us. The only reason I did bother watching was we had the last three so I was hoping we made a miraculous comeback or something. I always fast forward though a game when I DVR it. It just seems bad to me to give any kind of indicator to the outcome of the game.
