you seriously are comparing dumping water bottles on your coach in your locker room to a bottle poppin storm courting celebration??

people were awfully upset over being down 3 points for most of the game. If you read this thread without watching the game you would have thought we were down by 30...some very dramatic folks on here which is a lot different than passionate

Please don't be hypocritical. You've bashed Mick every thread on here about weak recruiting. So by calling recruiting weak your basically indirectly talking down on players. Just not man enough to say how you really feel

The reference to recruiting has everything to do with where this program should be and wants to be. We can't be a top 20 program with recruiting classes ranked in the 30s and 40s. There's a big difference in calling players thugs and garbage and suggesting that recruiting is weak. We do an amazing job with our weak recruits, but we haven't made the big splash to take the program to the next level. That's not talking down on players, nor is it hippocracy. That's a concept you should understand by now, but I'm happy to help you understand it. If you need any more help, just ask!

I think the fact that we were dead in the water with less than a minute left had a lot to do with it.
I don't care. Shouldn't been dead in water. We have a guy that was toughest match up against #1pick in nba sitting on bench. Coach him up please. Don't accept Caupain not checking into game until final 45sec. Purdue can't shoot a lick and we still got destroyed inside

Saying we can't win with recruiting classes is calling players garbage for level your looking for. I think Ellis himself a tell you he's from the thug life. Doesn't make him a bad person. I know alot of nice thugs

My comment was an indictment on the selection process, not Cronin. I've already said I don't blame him for going to UofL. He wasn't going to get any decent opportunities working for Huggs. What's sad to me is that LD is a very good coach that never received a decent look, and the guy at Manhattan (another Pitino protege) keeps his job despite misrepresenting his CV. It's mindless name recognition: He coached with Pitino, so he must be good. Kudos to Cronin for understanding the realities and using it to his advantage.

He's still overpaid (no surplus in year nine?), and, despite his claim, he didn't rebuild Murray State (seven returning seniors when he took over, and his first year was his best year).

Plus there was an article back then about how decimated the roster was when Mick left. We're getting off topic here, but supposedly when he left, the next coach came in with almost an empty bench. Don't know if his recruits all cancelled when he left, or he just hadn't recruited anyone. That was an article that was posted on BCN 7-8 years ago. Don't know if it still exists.

He would probably say he a tough bringing up, I highly doubt he would say it was a "thug" life.

Mick had 3 3*s coming in and 6 players overall in 2006. If they were decimated, I'm guessing it is BC those guys didn't stay.
Edit- actually all 6 of those guys stuck around. So idk why they'd be decimated?

It doesn't surprise me that you know a lot of nice thugs, but calling our players garbage is something I have not indirectly done by wanting better recruits.
