UC got 4 football commits this weekend from official visits.

Playing at PBS is so much more convenient for fans, easier to find parking, more bathrooms, easier to get concessions, real individual seats instead of benches, nice parking lots to tailgate. All home games should be moved to PBS.

No way Ralph. I don't have a problem playing a game a year down there. 2 is too many IMO. Recruits like it and that is great but the players LOVE playing at Nippert. It is one of the best venues to see a college game, especially at night.

It ain't so great when you miss an entire quarter going to the bathroom and getting a beer.

Never had that problem at all. I have never had to wait to use the restroom or for a beer.

Ralph likes to make things up to support his argument, we've learned this over the years.

Anyway, I was reading in the paper the other day that the players would rather play at Nippert. Can't remember who it was, but it almost sounded as if he was upset about having to play at PBS. If I'm hearing that from the players, I think I would be listening to them, because they are the most important people, IMO.

PBS is a far better place to watch football. They will continue to do 2 big games a year at PBS and the rest at Nippert and that is fine.

For fans it is not even close.

I think a forum like this is a great place to voice opinions. However, if you are going to state a fact, I think you need to back it up. "For fans it is not even close" - really ? As a season ticket holder, I've been to games in Nippert and PBS and the folks I talk with OVERWHELMINGLY prefer Nippert. PBS is cool and if full, it's fun, but most want to see a game in Nippert. If Nippert held 50,000 fans, I would bet money 19 out of 20 would vote Nippert.

Again, I disagree. At Nippert, I can leave my seats, walk to my car, and in 6 years of going to games (since I've moved back to Cincinnati), never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be at the speed limit on a road leaving campus. Last week at PBS, I walked several blocks (15 minutes) to get to my parking and literally sat for 50 minutes before I could get on a road that was moving.

My padded individual Club Seat at PBS was a lot more comfortable than the little cramped IPS cushion seat they give me at Nippert. There was no wait in the restrooms and very little wait at halftime for concessions. At Nippert I have to fight my way through the crowd in the west side corridor underneath the pressbox. I enjoy the creature comforts at PBS vs Nippert.

Jim Kelly on WLW post game show stated that he, as a former player, liked PBS better than Nippert.

Apparently recruits like PBS better as 4 committed after the game at PBS, the same thing happened after the Oklahoma game last season.

Interesting, most of the people that sat around us liked the idea of playing downtown as compared to Nippert. I guess it just depends on what you are looking for.

Ralph, have you ever been to a UC football game?

I don't care where FORMER players want to play. I care where the CURRENT players want to play and that is Nippert.

The ideal situation would be to play the Akron's, Austin Peay's and Miami's at Nippert for 3/4 games a year. Then to play every conference/big OOC game at Paul Brown. That would be the ideal scenario for UC moving forward, especially if they want to compete with the big boys (like the Big 12).

Jim Kelly knows a lot of things. Football happens to be one of them.

This.

You have told me a few times you think Nippert is one of the best stadiums in college football. Now you want to move home games to PBS? something isn't adding up..

IMO, you bring in Oklahoma and they should play at Nippert. Under the lights for a big game at Nippert can be a pretty good home field advantage. Don't get that feeling at PBS.

There is no place in college football like Nippert. None. I love it. PBS is a much much better venue to watch a football game.

I think you need to move if you can sell the tickets.

I don't know. If you have one of the best college football stadiums in the country, and your players love playing there, why move your home game away from there?

As for the bolded part, that screams small time to me. That sounds to me like a school that has 1 big home game a year, and never plays it at their true home field. When they finally get that big game, they are going to try and make as much money as possible, so they leave the place that their players love and are comfortable playing in, and go to an NFL stadium.
