NEVADA
2016 (So.): Was one of the top surprises in the nation, rebounding from a redshirt season to post the eighth-best batting average in program history … Started in 58 games with a .401 batting average, 89 hits, 68 runs and 35 RBI … Named to the All-Mountain West first team … Became the first Wolf Pack player to post a .400 average since 2001, while his batting average ranked eighth in program history … Finished runner-up in the MW and 11th in the nation in batting average … Posted the third-best batting average in the nation among underclassmen … Led the MW and ranked 17th in the nation in on base percentage (.494) … Led the conference and ranked fourth in the nation in runs with 68, which ranked 11th in program history … Ranked second in the conference and 11th in the nation in hits with 69, which ranked tied for fourth in program history … Hit nine triples on the season, which ranked second in Nevada’s record book and also ranked second in the nation … Posted a .563 slugging percentage with nine doubles, nine triples and three home runs … Also posted a .494 on base percentage with 89 hits, 32 walks and 12 hit by pitch … Made just two errors in 145 chances with a .986 fielding percentage … Was named to the All-Mountain West Tournament team after batting .500 with 10 hits, eight runs and eight RBI in six postseason games … Batted .374 in conference competition … Helped Nevada post a 20-4 record in its final 24 games, batting .423 with 41 hits, 35 runs and 17 RBI in that span … Led the team with 28 multi-hit games … Set a career-high with four hits on four occasions … Set a career-high with five RBI on two occasions … Went 3-of-5 with five RBI and three runs in Nevada’s win over top-seeded Fresno State in the MW tournament … Helped lead Nevada to a second place finish in the Mountain West and to its first MW tournament finals appearance in program history … Letter winner.
