Reds need to come out firing on all cylinders. rest of July looks like this:

Fri, 7/19 Pirates
Sat, 7/20 Pirates
Sun, 7/21 Pirates
Mon, 7/22 at Giants
Tue, 7/23 Giants (make up game for the rainout a few weeks ago/kinda odd it's a home game splitting up an away series...)
Tue, 7/23 at Giants
Wed, 7/24 at Giants
Thu, 7/25 at Dodgers
Fri, 7/26 at Dodgers
Sat, 7/27 at Dodgers
Sun, 7/28 at Dodgers
Mon, 7/29 at Padres
Tue, 7/30 at Padres
Wed, 7/31 at Padres

so much potential to make up ground on the deadbirds and buccos. hoping the ASG didn't cool off Choo too much. dude has been swinging a hot bat lately!

yeah you're right about that; those west coast trips are usually brutal for the Reds.
i'm optimistic, though! those are some inferior teams (after the buccos series). and after all, it was this time last year when the Reds started their tear (going 19-3 post ASG) and put some space between themselves and the Cardinals.

Unless the reds offense gets more consistent, I see us losing a lot of close games. That has been their problem for the last 4 seasons.

agreed.
not sure how Jacoby keeps cashing checks. Reds have a $110M+ payroll and are 9th in NL BA (last time I checked) = pathetic!

close games have been pretty kind to us last couple of years though. in 1-run games, 31-21 last year, 15-14 this year.
RISP is KILLING the Reds this year. only .252 as a team (compared to the Cardinals' .337).

Yup, that stat is going to make or break this team.
