I can't believe we're this deep in the season already. Our "bye week" is timed well. Cash needs to heal. We need to re-focus...maybe add some new offensive features, and build off the Syracuse loss. At the least, hopefully the SU loss keeps us hungry. We're a talented team but we're not where we want to be yet.

To me, the ability to get something offensively from Rubles/Jackson at the 4 spot is going to be huge. They played well in the 2nd half (notwithstanding JJ's travel). Mbodj and Nyarsuk are going to need to man up down the stretch as well. I am encouraged by the Syracuse 2nd half performance of TRub, JJ and Mbodj but they really need to keep it up.

Anyway, remaining schedule below with the other team's current record listed. It's hard to say that we shouldn't win our next 5 games at least. Out of 11 games remaining, the only elite team on there is Louisville. I think we win 8 of them dropping to Louisville, Notre Dame and one more loss that we don't see coming (putting us at 24-6). That said, I'm sure most of these games will be close ones.

Wed, Jan 30 vs Rutgers (12-5 overall; 3-3 in Big East)
Sat, Feb 2 @Seton Hall (12-6; 1-4)
Wed, Feb 6 @Providence (10-8; 2-4)
Sat, Feb 9 vsPittsburgh (15-4; 3-3)
Tue, Feb 12 vsVillanova 8:00 PM ET (11-7; 2-3)
Fri, Feb 15 vsGeorgetown 9:00 PM ET (13-4; 3-3)
Thu, Feb 21 @Connecticut 7:00 PM ET (12-5; 2-3)
Sun, Feb 24 @#24 Notre Dame 2:00 PM ET (15-4; 3-3)
Sat, Mar 2 vsConnecticut 2:00 PM ET (12-5; 2-3)
Mon, Mar 4 @#5 Louisville 7:00 PM ET (16-2; 4-1)
Sat, Mar 9 vsSouth Florida 4:00 PM ET (10-7; 1-4)

I agree with your assessment but I will add another loss to UCONN. The fact that we have to play them twice in 3 games hurts and with their guard play I don't see us winning both of them. Honestly, this was the part of the schedule that had me worried when looking at it in November so its def. going to be a ride. I really hope the home game against PITT is Gameday. I think that would be really cool and don't believe they have ever came to UC. If we can incorporate our big guys like we did in the 2nd half against SU it will do wonders for our offense. Just little production out of them makes everything so much easier. There is no reason those first 4-5 games should result in a loss. I would really like to see us get our first BE 4 game winning streak. We will be sitting pretty if that happens, but only if our effort it there every game.

We have 4 losses already, so 3 more losses would mean 7 total.

I would guess UL is a loss. I think we split UConn and split GTown/Pitt at home. If we take care of business in the rest, that leaves 7 total losses and around a 4/5 seed pending the BET.

Personally, I think we win @ND. They're usually impossible at home, but that team has major issues right now and we have a knack for splitting with rematch teams that win game1.

Things rarely go according to plan in the BE. I fully expect them to lose a game to either Rutgers, Seton Hall, Providence, or Nova and then win at Louisville.

Yep....my bad. Since Syracuse was a moral victory, I was counting it as a non-loss just for Gotcha23. 24-7 is correct.

It really would be nice to peel off 5-6 in a row...as we should. It seldom goes that way and I'm sure we'll get a win we're not counting on and drop one that we are counting on.

I am the first to lol rpi, but we better not hear people like palm and others criticizing our schedule this year. Currently UCs RPI SOS is #12 in the nation, and that's with the rest of the BE games to come

Once again, as shown by Villanova's win vs Louisville last night and South Florida's win vs Georgetown on Saturday, there are no Big East lock wins. You play them one game at a time, you only concern yourself with the next team up, looking 6 games out and saying we should win them all is fool hardy.

Pretty decent point. The schedule is ripe for 6 in a row but I'm sure they will be close.

Whats the setup this year with 15 teams? 4 double byes, 5 single byes, and 6 teams playing on Tuesday? That makes the most sense to me.
