I wouldnt say thats true... While I agree it wasnt his best game, he shot poor and had some turnovers. He shot well from the line, rebounded, and played pretty good defense with some steals.

Dixon was 2 of 9 and still found a way to score 14 points. He also had 4 turnovers but made 3 steals as well. I loved how Dixon and Davis were penetrating last night. This team will be very good if they pressure on both ends of the court.

I thought Dixon was atrocious last night. He did make a couple 3's and had a couple steals but his help defense was terrible, he didn't close fast enough on defense, and his finishing and ball handling were terrible.

I guess it's good that he scored 14 points while having what I believe his worst game in his career (perhaps other than WVU last year because of the turnover).

The 2nd half definately looked liked the 15-0 Bearcats. Heres my observations and player comments

Cash-played pretty well on the ball defense, he needs to start turning the corner and beating his man to cause the defense to slide to him and in return to have him pass the ball to the open man. when the defender comes to him all the way at the half court mark he should make them pay with his speed. he played solidly and UC has to have him running the point.

Dion- I have been a huge critic and i still dont know how he had as many points as he did. he is to slow to react when he has the ball in his hands. i hate when he is running the point also. However he is very good when he attacks the rim.. Has anyone noticed that the farther back from the 3pt line the more accurate his shot is.. kid shoots awesome from deep, but you get him right up on the line and he bricks almost everything.. To be a impact player he is going to have to react faster period.

rashad- good game, he shot looks solid but when he is shooting the 3 he throws his feet out to far in front of him.. you can tell he has some freakish strength to him and it was good to actually see him throw down a dunk on the fast break. good game but wouldnt be suprised if he doent score a point in the next game.

ibrahima- unless the other team has 2 twin towers he needs to be on the bench. give darnell his spot and let him earn it back.

yancey- he is never going to have that gritty instinct, he did have some emotion when he up faked and dunked(great move). For as hard as he plays he has great statistics. will his senior year be the year he breaks out of the old Yancey mode.

SK- he will learn to play defense, but his side to side quickness is not where it needs to be yet. he can score but his shot is different every time. meaning it is sky high one minute and the next time it looks normal.( might be the reason he is inconsisitent). he will be a star eventually.

Darnell- about time he figures out he can use his athleticism in a baskeball game. all though his shot is solid he needs to take ball to basket. i love him being on the press and had flash backs to melvin levett and james white, with the dunks..The bad thing about Darnell is for those unbelievable put backs he threw down, he threw two of the dumbest passes i have ever seen.

Larry- he is the best on the ball defender we have, he has to get more minutes. he is the best moving without the ball and his 3 is where we all thought it could be.. i used to hate when he subbed in the game, now i am calling for him to go in.. he will be a big part to how far this team can go.

JJ- everyone was excited with his output vs st johns, but jj is a freshman and he will play better vs teams who run and gun and when uc presses. When he plays against slow down defenders who are very organized he will struggle, because all his points are off garbage.. and beating people down court. he will be a solid UC player.

Biggie- whenever the other team does not run at all, i say put the big fella in. if we play a run and gun and press he will have to ride the pine. i am begging he has one humongous game before he is gone.. got to give kid props.

UC looked great in the latter part of the 2nd half, Rutger is alot better than people will give them credit for and this was a huge win. In order to to beat the top echelon teams they will have to put 2 halves together... I loved that fire and loved the crowd, cant wait for WVU games, GO CATS!!!!!

Agree..

As for Biggie. He is 9foot 11foot 7inches. If Mick is going to rely on the half court sets against top opponents, I'd like to see Biggie more. He came in last night for about 2 minutes and the team went up 12, thanks in part to his left handed baby hook ha

Pretty sure I saw Armein Kirkland and Tony Bobbit sitting together in the stands tonight, SEC 114... anyone confirm this?

we ended up moving from sec 113 to 114 bc its a better angle/view and were about 3 rows behind them.

im pretty sure kirkland was one of them.

Im also about 90% sure the one guy was tony bobbit.

Stokes was also there, but he had some jihad muhammad hairstyle going on.

You must have been a row or two in front of me then ervins, I was in row 11, about five rows up directly behind them.

Stokes is bald man, he has no hair, let alone dreads. lol

lol, we were in row 10, so ya, but we were slightly towards the middle of section 114. actually our tix were for the row and section that won the free wings voucher, but was too lazy to move and try to claim that we belonged there
