Sean kilpatrick

Does this mean that he may be a one and done? Just kidding. I hope he is as good as they say, and not a practice all-american.

He impressed me in the Deveroes league last summer, but then again Dixon has really impressed me both years. I was really surprised that he got redshirted. Obviously in hindsight it was probably a mistake. I bet Mick was kicking himself all season after seeing the production we got out of all our combo guards. I think Mick thought Davis and Vaughn would just light it up all year and thus Kilpatrick was expendable. I'm not trying to bash here, but our lack of offense spoke for itself and Kilpatrick is supposed to be a pure scorer. I'm really looking forward to seeing him and Lance together next year. They apparently are joined at the hip and spend a lot of late nights practicing together.

Nobody is one and done until they play one, and the nba comes calling. Until then, they are just another frosh who needs to prove themself.

I've heard that Killa rips up practice and will have a definite impact next year.

The player in street clothes on the bench is always the best player. I could go on and on about players that had to sit out were always way over hyped.

I think Kilpatrick will be good. But if he was such a stud do you really think Mick would have redshirted him to play Cash, Parker, Davis, and Dixon? I think not.

Maybe he is better than the coaching staff could have ever imagined?

As already mentioned, Mick likely thought he was expendable because we had nice options at the SG/SF positions. Turns out those options weren't so nice....

I doubt Killa does more than come off the bench most of the year. Ultimately he will be a freshman that hasn't played in games and hasn't had defenses adjust to him. Practice is good, but its not the same as games.

I do think he will be a very valuable member of next years team though as well as the following three years. Maybe he will even turn into a star if he can develop a consistent outside shot. I'm also excited for the attitude he will bring to the court.

Can't believe I'm agreeing with you, but good point. And no this has nothing to do with Mick. It is all about sitting out a full year. It will take him sometime to knock off the rust, ala Ibrahima.

Hopefully he can be a consistant shooter tho.

SK will play major minutes and contribute next season. Good BB iq and gets to the rim. Nice shot but needs to be more consistent shooting it. My guess is he spent last season working on that alot. He will impact the line up and make this team better. I understand why he was redshirted but I think he is better than Dixon or Davis. I have touted this kid since he was recruited and think the year to watch and practice will pay big dividends. He's not coming in after 12 games. He will be practing and playing with the team from day one and won't need to fit into the flow of the team after the fact like Thomas. Could very well start. I will say this, he is every bit the gym rat lance is. I promise you he is working hard and he has good ball skills to. It's gonna be tough to keep this kid out of the line up. Man I'd love to see Burton, Killa, Cash and Parker in the backcourt with Bishop and Lance at small forward. If Bishop leaves both Parker and Killa can play the 3 spot as well!

Hopefully he contributes but to look for much more than 4 or 5 ppg is crazy out of a freshman who redshirted.

If the team takes a late summer trip to Canada (as Mick said he would like to), he would some game experience to hopefully get some of the rust off from his redshirt year. He may thus be able to contribute to the success of next years squad more than we think.

Hopefully he can eventually be a big impact, just think it will take him towards midseason or the end to be a factor.

From what I have read and heard, he reminds me of Sam Young for Pitt last year. Crafty with the ball, smart, and a slasher working on his jumper. Both very similar in body build as well.
