Reading his quote, to paraphrase, "It's all about me!".
That's something Mick will have to deal with.

I have no idea how you infer that from the quotes.

Moore looks like he has pretty good hands and ball skills for a guy his size. Doesn't seem to have too much athleticism but obviously that was a short video so it doesn't give a great example.

Side note. Assist. Coach Larry Davis said DeBerry might have the biggest hands he has even seen besides Dr. J. Also he is a solid 270 and doesn't really need to lose the weight, just tone it. It was nice to hear the assist coaches on the Cronin radio show. They speak very well.

Great day at Linden hs Quadri Moore signs national letter of intent going to university of Cincinnati in front of family teammates, administration, and coaches. We are all proud of him.

His hands are enormous. I shook his hand at an AAU event a few years back and his fingers were literally up to my forearm. Only guy I've encountered similar was John Riek who was a half foot taller...

Will be fun to track these kids during their respective seasons. FYI here's a snippet from DeBerry's last game:

DeBerry finished with a season-high 15 points on 5 of 5 shooting, including two thunderous dunks.

You can follow his team here:

That means he went 5-5 from the FT line right?! Thats is always a good thing :)

I know it's been hammered home but I dont think a falsehood can be discredited enough. The comment about Gary is so far from the truth. He is one of the most humble down to earth kids the coaches have recruited to Cincinnati. (That's not to say others on the squad are not) He is respectful, has a great relationship with the coaches, coach Davis in particular, and is just a good kid. I hate it when people paint others with a broad brush that they have never met from an out of context quote. Not to mention I dont even know what quote made this poster think Gary was "all about me". Either he didnt read it or is reading what he wants to read. Gary is a great get for Cincinnati both for his skills and character. Excited so far about this class.

Coach Davis said Clark called him after the NCST game to congratulate him. Clark was really watching that game since NCST was recruiting hard too. I love it!!

Like I said before, I hope my interpretation is wrong. The quote was about him being about to showcase his talents. Here's the quote:
“Because I can bang on the inside and rebound, and I will get the opportunity to showcase my skills on the perimeter. I just feel like I’ll be able to show a lot of my game at Cincinnati.”
I would have liked to heard: Hopefully my abilities can help this team. Then the braggadocio.
That's an individual statement. Period. Everybody is entitled to his opinion. And that's the end of my comments on this issue.

All of his quotes are answers to questions at his press conference. He is being asked specifics questions about HIMSELF. It is not braggadocio. It is how you answer questions pertaining to yourself. You're right everyone is entitled to an opinion. However not all opinions are created equal. Yours is 100% wrong. Just dont think Gary's character being brought into question is fair or warranted.

We don't know these kids personally. I think everyone just needs to relax. It's an article, people will see in it what they see in it.

I like Clark and Moore. They both bring height, athleticism and basketball skill.
In the past, we've had sort of a hodge podge of players with different abilities, seems like with pick ups like Thomas and Lawrence and now these two; we have a coherent scheme we're going for. Recruiting seems to be turning the corner. I am curious about Deberry. We often talk about the stars of a program but rarely about the supporting cast. He seems to already know his role, I just wonder how his transition to the speed of high major basketball will go. If he gets it right away, it takes a lot of pressure off Strickland.

With Juco's thus far, I keep feeling like if we had 4 years rather than two, they'd be very good. Mbodj was coming around last year, Rubles is really good now but if he had two more years? :D
