Not happy with the last 21 minutes of the game but still a great win that could be a difference maker towards a favorable vs unfavorable seed/matchup in the NCAA tournament down the line.

Such a frustrating game for Evans but luckily Caupain, Washington, and Clark picked up the slack.

Now onto an ECU team that lost by 31 at home to SMU not too long ago.

The good:
Caupain was a beast - 5 3-pointers, led the team in rebounds, 0 turnovers.

Clark was also a beast on both ends of the floor.

The bad:
Dominated on the glass, although SMU does that to everyone.

Really faltered defensively down the stretch.

Jacob Evans is officially in a slump - 5 for his last 22. I'm guessing he busts out against ECU

That was a great win. We have definitely had the bounces go our way this year. I thought Brown's last three was going down.

Gotta credit SMU their interior D was a vice grip. Very rarely did we get the chance to bamboozle them

Cumberland is not afraid to shoot the big shot. If Evans makes just one of his 3's that would have been second game in a row all of our starters make a 3.

Wow!

KJ too many long 3's. TC gave up the ball twice down the stretch, why?

The pass to Cumberland was the only correct play. Troy's choices were to take a mid range jumper over two bigger guys, drive into traffic for a likely blocked shot/charge situation, or pass to a wide open shooter on the wing. Even Len Elmore admitted, after falsely claiming Caupain "passed up a layup", that it was the right play.

Tough team to defend. They are really good. They have a team full of lengthy slashers. Hard game to win on the road when we go there...Not sure we will pull that off.

Our 3s saved us.

I love hearing the announcers say "This game has great rhythm and flow. This is fun to watch."

Your right this is different team this year. Very few dumb plays from either team. We only had 2 fouls with 4.1 seconds left. That is unheard of and bodes well in March. We just need to make our free throws and we will be a really tough out in NCAA tourney.

It was no doubt the right play. There was nobody within 10 feet of the shooter and Caupain would have been blocked.

I noticed his shoulder shake has changed . Maybe that is the reason, it used to be more pronounced.

I would like to see our players stop hesitating and thinking on foul shots. Just grab and shoot. It's more natural and it takes pressure off.

I think Jacob called the Clark bust out. It's nice to know we can win with different guys getting it done. Evans was way off rythm... Forcing. But we are solid at 5 positions...And that's why we can win a lot of games.

We did a good job on the last possession using fouls to cut down the last 4.1 seconds to 1.1. Good coaching.

Mick just said we need to take a charge. So true. He also spoke about us playing O, but not D. Not enough deflections. I am very excited about the balanced scoring, but we need someone to step up as an enforcer and develop a TOUGH defensive mindset for the tourney. To me that is the most impt thing left in the regular season.

Dan Hoard just said K Satt was honored at the game, and 2 Bengals and 2 Reds were at the game (Brandon Phillips and Billy Hamilton) - love that!! I want 5th 3rd to be the place to be!!
