I think we dropped a spot in defense and picked up one on offense after the game...but i think we dropped a few spots (I think 16-19) on Kenpom overall with our win. Meanwhile SMU stayed the same overall at 26.

We gotta stop winning...it's killing us...lol!

While it's annoying to drop a few spots, it's kind of cool SMU didn't drop at all. Means they're legit, and that last night was a quality win. I'll be rooting for them to win every game the rest of the year when they aren't playing UC.

I know everyone keep saying we took our foot off, I was watching it looked like we just starting missing while smu was making everything towards the end. We still pushed and tried to score it just wasn't happening. Last couple minutes we grinded it out, but we won, smu was making a run why wouldn't we limit possessions.

The real problem I haven't read not once was rebounding, had this been an even game on the boards we would have won by ten. I don't know the exact second chance points off the top of my head but I know SMU had quite a few more than us.

You are completely correct, and everyone insisting the lost lead was due to "grinding" on offense is just ignoring the actual game that was played, and falling back on old grudges.

1st half: 13/28 from the floor, 1/2 from the line, 2 TO
2nd Half: 12/26 from the floor, 3/5 from the line, 2 TO

They did not slow it down in the 2nd half, at least not until the last 2 minutes or so, when it made sense. Their problems were all on the defensive end, where they allowed SMU to shoot 47% in the 2nd half, and dominate the glass all game.

It is not usually the case that this team fades defensively, but it certainly was last night. Suggesting this was "typical" or "typical Cronin" is silly, because if it were they wouldn't be #3 in the country in defensive efficiency.
