We'll be shaking BB&T, I guarantee that....know if Broome is available?

Concerning that UC has to sell student tickets to regular fans.

Also hate that the student section is on the side of the bar. While it’s cool for them, there is no seats above them so the sound escapes

Conference Really Begins: SMU v. Cincy

We were hopeful to be on the cusp of Top 25 at this point. SMU needs this win. The Tulane loss hurt but we were without an over-performing freshman that stretches defenses and can hit the outside 3.

I've watched Cincy and thought they would be more efficient offensively. That being said, as always, Cincy is tough defensively. I expect Cincy to be at the cusp of Top 10 by seasons end.

Tomorrow's game should be interesting. If we keep Chargois out of foul trouble early and Ben E hits his outside 3s, it should be a very solid game. If you guys jump on us early and Chargois gets early fouls, we could be in trouble for the whole game.

My prediction: Cincy 68 SMU 66. Game won in the final minute.

Good luck. Stay warm. It was 60 in Dallas today.

BTW, are there any Corvette enthusiasts here. There's a place in Cincy called SevenHillsMotorCars and from time to time he has an old Vette that I'd like to consider buying. I'd love to have someone take a look for me and give me a thumbs up/thumbs down before i fly in. A good steak and scotch would be in order.

UC's offense is much better at home and while we aren't more efficient, we are playing at a much quicker pace, which is allowing us to score more PPG but also is causing us to be more sloppy with the ball.

THough I expect this to be a low scoring game as SMU is a grind it out type of team. Which is kinda puzzling to me, they have all the pieces to be a fast paced run and gun team and yet they still choose to use 18.7 seconds of clock per possession (#317 nationally). Maybe its because they don't go deep on the bench, I dunno.

Either way i expect a great game. Hopefully we have our home floor to play on and weather holds up so the crowd is great.

Im excited and nervous all at once. So many teams lost that we could gain some serious respect with a week like this.

If we can pull out a win tomorrow, I could see us moving up to 13th or so in the polls.

Im doing an early draft of my top 25 for reddit now and its a crap shoot, everyone lost.

I know it's gonna be a crazy week for the pollsters. Five top ten teams lose, and mother half a dozen between 11-18. Gonna be a lot of movement. WVU to 3? Where does Wichita state end up I wonder

i do have to sincerely ask why you guys care about the polls so much. they do such an awful job.

Aren't the student just back to class from break tomorrow? 'Course, with over 40,000 students, you'd think they would pack those sections every game, just with homies, but they don't. UC has a pretty lame student body when it comes to support for athletics. When you see Duke's Cameron Crazies, it makes UC look pathetic.

Outside of FC Cincinnati fans, Cincinnati fans in general are pathetic. They have to be given a reason to go, have to be given incentives and nice seats and whatever else to give them a great fan experience. I go to see the team and see the game. I'd watch it in any arena anywhere. I stood before the Memphis game singing the fight song when the band played before the game and looked around and maybe 20 people in the whole arena were standing and joining. I've griped for years about how lame our fans are. When the students don't show up and get loud the arena is just dull and thus year has been especially dull. I hope like hell tonight is better cause I really think we need he home crowd advantage.

Just reported that Broome is a game time decision.

At least thats progress.

My guess would be it's decided. He's either out or in. Maybe for SMU scouting report we want to keep them guessing.

I can't believe we would let it come down to how he's feeling around game time. That's too risky. He's either cleared or sitting out. Last time he was a definite out..."game time" could be a sneaky go.

Of course we won't know for at least 5 Minutes in...lol

Polls aren’t a great indication of how good you truly are but rather a sign of how much the national media respects you. It’s great for recruiting and building the brand of UC basketball

The reality is UC lost a lot of dedicated fans when Huggins was fired. And then we tried to become a football first school. Add in the long rebuild and you have a dedicated fan problem.

Huggins fans are taking the longest to support the program again. But it’s slowky getting better and season ticket sales show that. I remember my first job was with Bb riverboats and we also catered and fed the players and coaches before every game and then ran the dinner at the UCATS club. It was a cool experience but one thing I noticed was how full the ucats club was on a nightly basis. We just don’t have that kinda support yet. I think ucats club has been closed for dinner for a while now.

In an age where people have amazing sports experiences in the comforts of their own home, you have to really entice people to get out and support the program. This new arena should help that.
