What he said! I'm good with the hiring of Coach Fickel, but I can't root for OSU ever, mainly because of their insufferable fans. If you were around in '61 and '62 like I was you would know what I mean.

For the air time, I wouldn't mind a 3-0 win against Clemson then a 3-0 loss to Washington. I won't be rooting for these results exactly, but am tired of the Saban is GOAT talk - he is a great football mind at a place that mostly turns away recruits and takes their pick of the litter (kinda like the Luckeyes).

This isn't rooting for tO$U, it's putting our UC program first. More air time for Luke and UC as recruits will be watching

Will never root for OSU. I could care less how that looks on the new coach's resume. Tuberville won a couple national titles as a D Coordinator. Tell me where that helped us. If anyone thinks we win a recruit because UC is mentioned in a playoff game you're really reaching for straws. Fickell will be successful here if he recruits smart, steals a few local kids we might not otherwise be able to get except they can stay home, and most importantly because he can coach up his players and win the battle of x's and o's. Nothing that happens in the OSU games changes any of that.
