Strickland hasn't been cleared by the NCAA yet

I have my fingers crossed for Strickland...we will definitely need the depth at the 5 and if we have to score points he may be our best option down low in a pinch.

Another interesting comment I saw had to do with our length, athletecism, and depth leading to more pressing and trappping. Yes, we have heard this before from Cronin but the light kind of came on for me as to possible reasons we haven't really seen it. For one our depth hasn't been as deep but when we were playing 3 or 4 guards...trapping would not be as effective because the height and length wasn't really there. When the other team has to throw around and over 6'7 and 6'8 guys who are quick and can jump...it will be a much more optimal trapping situation.

Perhaps this is the year we start to see more of it...we will see.

With Cash, SK, and Parker in the game we were 6'0, 6'3, 6'3,6'7-6'8 with a center who wasn't mobile enough to be used in press.

If Caupain wins the PG we will be 6'3, 6'3, 6'7-6'8, 6'8-6'9. That's an average gain in height of 2" from 1-4 depending who's on the floor. There could also be more inches gained in wingspan and jumping height. Add to that we have a center in JJ who is athletic enough to be used in the press as well...moreso than Mooj would have. We might even be able to drop back a guy like Lawrence to let JJ run around and be JJ.

We will have depth at the 1-4 to keep pressure on even though we don't have a backup mobile 5 (but who does).
