Amen to that!!! The best part of this year is we beat a higher seed to make it through. That 01 season we kinda lucked out getting to beat a 12 and 13 seed to make it.

UC is a major school, not a mid-major. UC knows what is like to win national championships, 2 of them. UC, unlike mid-major schools, plays to win the national championship, not to get to the sweet 16 and lose, the elite 8 and lose, the final 4 and lose.

Ask Singleton, Thacker, Wilson, Bonham, Yates, etc., if they are happy about finishing second in 1963. Ask Oscar how happy he was losing in the Final 4 in 1959 and 1960.

Obviously Ralph the big prise is the NC. However, there is great value in advancing in the tournament as Mick and everyone else is acutely aware of that. It mens more media exposure. It means getting invited to high profile tounaments. It means playing on tv more often, and games against big names made for tv. It means you get in the door and have more ammo to close big recruits and most importantly it means greater revenue for the school and greater fan support. Don't be so dismissive of advancing further and further.

Thurday night is big for recruiting. Every game UC wins against a big name school shouts, "We can play with anybody!". Ralph it means respect and all that goes with it.

The greatest part of this run over the last couple of weeks is that I truly believe the Cats can win this game. It's not a pipe dream, if they play their game, they can not only stay in the game, but win it. I haven't had that confidence in years in this team. I'm glad I do now.
