I've been saying for a while now that Keith could go pro if he continues to play like he has been playing over the last (not quite) month. The NBA loves athletic 3-and-D type guys who can guard multiple positions. Just look at Jacob Evans.

Keith is a better athlete than Evans and can be a better defender. Evans gets the edge in ball handling, but Keith's game is more about slashing and attacking the basket, whereas Evans relied a lot more on jumpers. The NBA prefers guys who score at the rim (or from 3).

Keith does need to work on his 3-point shooting (or at least shoot more and show he can make them). But let's not forget that Evan's shot poorly his last few months and needed to change his shot when he went to the NBA. Despite that, he was a 1st round draft pick.

If Keith plays like he has over the last 5 games and shows he can hit from three, he will be a first round NBA draft pick as a Junior.

Per usual... Your wrong. Not even remotely close.

Keith Williams this year: FG% 46.4%, 3 PT FG 40%, FT% 75.6, TRB/40 minutes 6.9, ast/40 2.9, blocks/40 1.5, steals/40 1.7, TOV/40 2.7, pts/40 18.2. PF/40 3.3. ORB% 5.8, DRB 13.4, TRB% 9.8.

Junior Jacob Evans: FG% 42.7%, 3 pt FG 37%, FT% 75.4, TRB/40 minutes 6.1, ast/40 4.1, blocks/40 1.1, steals/40 1.6, TOV/40 2.3, pts/40 16.9. PF/40 2.6. ORB% 5.2, DRB 12.0, TRB% 8.7.

So Keith averages a better FG%, better 3 PT FG% (though on much lower volume), same FT%, more rebounds, blocks and total points per 40 minutes then Jacob Evans did. They are relatively even on steals. Keith needs to improve on assists and cut down on TO's. And those stats are for the entire season, if you look at Keith's recent streak of 5 games he'd be even better.

Jacob Evans also had a better supporting cast.

If Keith continues to play like he has, he will get looks from the NBA. NBA teams would probably like to see him increase his 3-point shooting volume, but if he can shoot it in the draft combine that won't matter. Would be nice to see him improve his assist% and reduce the TO%, but in the NBA he'd be a 3-and-D guy who isn't creating. And his slashing style is better suited for the NBA than Evans more pull up jumper heavy style.

imagine how good evans would have looked in this system. a way better system for his style than having him iso.

keith doesn't have the handles or the shot to go to the nba. there isn't a scout on earth that would say he's anywhere close to ready.
