Cincinnati is picked to finish 4th and Sean Kilpatrick was named to the Pre-season 1st team.

"Cincinnati was fourth in the preseason poll with 58 points. The Bearcats look to make their fourth straight NCAA Championship appearance in 2014 as they return a pair of starters from last year's 22-12 squad. Guard Sean Kilpatrick, who earned all-conference honors in each of his first three seasons, averaged 17.0 points and 5.2 rebounds per game last season and was selected to the Preseason All-Conference First Team."

Wanted to add that Louisville and Memphis have agreed to continue playing after UofL moves on starting in 2015-16. Not a peep about UC-UofL in football or basketball....I am starting to doubt either will happen.

That would be a shame. Such a great rivalry. You think with Pitino and Cronin that at least in basketball we could work something out.

This is from last week:

But Cronin said he also understands the Bearcats need to beef up their non-conference schedule, especially beginning next year when Louisville leaves the American for the ACC.

“This year, earlier than I ever have, I’m working on our future scheduling to combat our RPI with the league changing,” Cronin said. “Next year you’re at Nebraska, you’re at NC State, we’ve got San Diego State coming in. We’ve got Xavier again. I’m trying to get some bigger name non-league games at home as well, which is hard. CBS is working hard. They have a lot of interest in us. And obviously I’m trying to keep Louisville on the schedule. We’ll see.”

Pitino's comment about Memphis asking first certainly seems to indicate that UofL and UC will not be playing one another after this season, which is what was expected.

I thought it sounded childish/comical. Pitino said, well Memphis asked first so we will play them. Sorry UC we didn't ask quick enough...

He should have went to UC as apparently he fell into the wrong crowd at the Ville:

Whoa. Rick Pitino just announced that Chane Behanan is off the team. Violation of school rules

Wow what a shock. Guess we will never know what happened here.

There were rumors that he would be booted out in the summer. He was given stipulations to return to the team and within a week violated those rules too. He probably thinks he can go to the NBA right now, wouldn't be surprised (if he doesn't return to UofL in January) if Chane declares for the draft and goes undrafted.

With that said, I would take him at UC for a rental year if he wanted too...

I would too, and we do have a scholly left for next year...

Honestly, I would doubt that Mick would want him at this point. He already turned him down once and getting troubled players is not his m.o. It is great useless debate for a board like this though.

Yep, like I initially thought, we will not be playing Louisville in the future. Unfortunately, I appear to be correct again. We are truly becoming their little brother....

Here is the quote-

As for UC, Pitino isn’t making any promises.

“I don’t know that,” Pitino said. “Mick’s a very close friend and ex-colleague of mine, but Memphis asked first. If Mick had asked first, it would have been Mick on the schedule rather than Memphis, but Memphis asked first.”

Cronin said the only reason Memphis asked first was because at the time UC and Louisville both were in the Big East and there was no reason for him to seek a non-league series with the Cardinals.
