2 games at PBS drew 40,000 and 48,000. The 4 games at Nippert averaged 27,000. It sure looks like the paying customers want the luxury and convenience of PBS rather than the tradition of Nippert.

The Ralph especially enjoyed his PBS club seats.

Time for a permanent move.

We need to go full time at Nippert unless we can get over 53,000. I really think noon games are lame. I think WVU might have been different if we played at Nippert.

i agree big time im 6'1 and i cant even fit in my seat half the time. I love Nippert but it was only good when no one showed up. Ya its more of a college football feel its probably easier for players to get pumped up but point is it just doesnt work its to crowded. It looks cozy but isnt etc etc etc. I will say this I know plenty of people who love uc watch everygame and alot of em only go to the PBS games its time to switch but for it to work we have to keep winning period

Realistically, we gained 9k per game by playing those 2 at Nippert. Both UL and WV wouldve been sellouts at Nippert, but thats still 9k short of what we got on avg.

I STRONGLY prefer the games to be at Nippert from a fan experience standpoint and for home field advantage. With that said, I'm not sure how realistic it is to throw away 18K additional fans.

You can't look at total fans. You have to look at money gained by playing at PBS. UC may not make a dime (or at best very little) more on the two games at PBS based on the contract for those games. Throw in the snafu with marketing and the $1 Million in losses for the advertisers who couldn't advertise because of exclusivity deals at PBS and the Bearcats are not going to be making much more than if they had it at Nippert. As a result, we may not see many games at PBS in the near future (definitely not 2 per year) unless there is an adjustment in the payout or UC can guarantee that there will be 50,000+ fans for each contest there.

I thought I remembered the announced crowd at the Louisville game to be 34,000 and some change. I also remember last year UC saying they had to get 45,000 to make as much as a sellout at Nippert. So even if the 88,000 is accurate it falls short of the 90,000 needed.

I'm not a fan of games at PBS. I also feel that having games there permanently will affect the student turnout dramatically, especially for the smaller games. Students didn't fill the student section for senior day and a chance to win a share of the Big East crown, how many of them you think would've gone downtown?
