So let's move on to the next step now, what is Tommy's staff going to look like? Any chance of pulling in some more big names? How much roll over will there be from our previous staff? How many coaches will he bring with him from Texas Tech?

Any thoughts?
 
Rumors have Eddie Gran tapped for OC. He is the special teams and running backs coach at Florida State. Recruiting machine and a big time get if true.....

What's up with Petrino? Is there still a chance he comes in as OC?

That was the initial rumor and I think it would be a big steal, especially for recruiting purposes, but after listening to Tommy T say he wants people who want to be here I'm not sure how realistic it is. Apparently Petrino is interviewing today for the HC job at WKU so he may not even be available.
 
I don't think Petrino would be a good hire at all. Sure the man can coach and score, but did anybody see the black eye he gave Arkansas?!? that is the EXACT opposite of what UC is looking for in a coaching staff. There is a difference between a bold/risky hire and flat out dumb.

Yeah, who wants an OC that can coach and have his team score??? ;)

Doesn't matter anyhow as he is no longer an option.
 
I think getting Eddie gran would be a home run hire. Has coached at tenn, auburn, and fsu. Known for recruiting.
