I don't think Troy gets drafted but I do see he has been playing for a few NBA teams this spring. Any chance he plays D-League or do you all think he goes overseas?

No way he gets drafted. He could play in the D-League but he'd make more money going overseas. So I think it depends whether he thinks he could make it to the NBA someday or not. I just don't think he's the right kind of player for that. But I guess stranger things have happened.

I don't think Troy is good enough. He isn't quick and doesn't shoot well enough. Seems like you have to do one of those things. An overseas career would be better than roaming the D-league for years in my opinion but it depends on what he wants to do.

Agreed. Physically he's not that much different than Kilpatrick, but he doesn't have nearly the scoring ability. I think he would have to become a lights-out 3-point shooter to make it in the NBA, and I just don't see that happening. That said, he's only 21, so maybe after a couple years of working on his game overseas he could get there.

Nothing about Troy is NBA material. He'll have a good career overseas. Good luck to him

His game is perfectly suited for high level European basketball. I don't see him playing in Euroleague during his first season but he could definitely be a contributor to a 1st division team in France, Germany, Italy, etc

Or maybe this:

Troy Caupain is on pace to earn his criminal justice degree this spring. After basketball he plans to become a basketball commentator and/or make a difference in the community as a police officer. He also has served multiple years as a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. As part of his major in criminal justice, Caupain has shadowed a Hamilton County (Ohio) court magistrate. He has also shadowed probation officers and talked with youth at an area juvenile dentition center.

Caught a bit of the Raptor/Nugget summer league game, Troy played and while I was watching took care of the ball, knocked down a couple of FT's and nailed a 3.

He's been SOLID at point. Really playing within himself and not trying to do something he can't.

He has been a plus player for them when he comes in and usually protects the lead.

I still think he ends up in europe but good to see him getting 15 minutes a game.

Troy plays again tomorrow in the elimination round
