Holloway has been suspended 1 game for secondary NCAA rules violations the Enquirer is reporting.

Tu is suspended for playing in two summer leagues. (He played the one in town and I believe played a couple games in NYC) It comes with a mandatory 1 game suspension. Xavier reported it to the NCAA in August.

It's not really a big deal but it does show a bit of selfishness on Holloway's part. As a senior, he should know the rules by now and should not have put himself in a position to hurt his team, even if for one game.

Yeah I've seen some Xavier fans mocking the NCAA for stupid rules but if it were my team I would be upset with the player. Both SK and Dion played in out of town leagues. They were later in town when the Deveroes League was going on but neither played because they weren't allowed.

Ultimately it doesn't matter at all. But its really a dumb move on Tu's part.

Not big deal IMO. I doubt he ever thought he did anything wrong. The only person I might blame are the X coaches if they weren't clear on the rules. Even then, no biggie.

I think the other league he played in was some pro-am games at rucker park in new york. I'm not exactly sure how it was set up, but I could understand him not thinking it was a legit summer league. Having said that, it's no excuse.

That's why you have a compliance department. He should have their number programmed in his cell phone.
