What would they be "running" towards? If you're saying get it up the floor quicker and into the offense, great. If you're saying move without the ball, crisper passes, attack the basket and be decisive, I agree. But I don't think playing Loyola Marymount circa 1989 style is the answer.
 
Somebody mentioned that the zone defense is bad for defensive rebounding. Yep. UC is in the top 15 (or bottom, if you will) in offensive rebounds allowed.

Yeah defensive rebounding was one of the things I thought was going to be among our biggest strengths this year. Not the case bc of the zone. The zone has been good in a lot of ways though, I just wish we switched things up on a game by game basis rather than on an in-game basis. Some games we don't need to play any zone imo.
 
They would gamble in m2m because they are trying to get deflections... which for some reason mick equates to winning.
It's different this year. Guys are fumbling and bumbling on defense not knowing where to go. Clark LITERALLY left his man WIDE OPEN to go grab Ellis and tell him he's in his spot.
