What is Brook's vertical? He didn't get either jump ball and he has been out jumped quite a bit this year. He gets blocked by the rim a lot too. No explosion. He's mobile though and protects the rim pretty well

Brook's athleticism is severely overrated. He is not quick off his feet and IMO his vert is subpar. That is why you always see him struggle to throw it down unless he is able to do a power step. He is long as crap which helps him with some nasty blocks. Also agree that he is pretty mobile and has pretty good footwork.

I have no idea why UC didn't run it's patented play where they get an easy layup. Perhaps they did and didn't execute correctly. Watch the replay again, if Moore curls to the basket and Cumberland hold's on to the ball just a tad longer Moore has a wide open layup.

There are factors in athleticism. The ability to jump is one, but the ability to move is another big factor. Brooks is very athletic if you are judging by his mobility and ability to guard smaller guys, but not very athletic if you are judging by his ability to jump. Overall I'd still call him a good athlete, most guys his size can't jump, but most guys his size can't move like he can either.
