Tulsa is 21-7 overall and 14-2 (1st place) in the conference. They have won 4 straight since losing back to back against SMU and UConn. Their last game was an OT win at Memphis. Despite the good conference record, they have had a few close calls. They went to OT with South Florida, and only beat ECU and UCF by 2. Their 2 home losses this year have come against SE Oklahoma State and SMU. We need to have a business like approach in this one and we need to play like men. Our season could depend on it. I'm guessing that we will be +4.

Love how the Bearcats are playing right now. I think UC will win this game. Got to keep feeding the post.

Depending on where you look, I've seen us as last 4 in and them as last 4 out. If we lose, that could flip flop. This will be a really tough game to come away with a victory, but it must happen. Hope the new Shaq and new KJ show up big and it would really be nice to see Cobb have one of those games where he goes off. He's due for one. Not making a game prediction, but hoping really hard for a win.

We've played very well lately, and while Tulsa is a good team, I still feel they're a bit of a fraud. I think we'll be ready and amped.

I cannot believe this game is on CBSSN, yet another game where I'm gonna have to wait until half time for a stream to come up. So frustrated, one of the biggest games of the year and I can't enjoy the whole game

Cats have been on a nice mini run. Really need the turn around of KJ and Shaq to continue. Two small things I have seen in both players that I take hope in.

KJ has been stong from the arc. What I really liked about last game was his dribble drive into lane and short pull up. When their bigs have to help defend, our offensive rebounding gets much better. If he can do that more often he will be the player we all hoped for.

Shaq needs to continue to get to the rim and convert or draw fouls. When he draws contact he is a whole different player. When he avoids contact and misses the circus shot it is same as turn over.

Very good looking pull up by KJ. And a nasty finish at the rim for Shaq. I agree with your take on both of these guys.

We are on the same page. At least the Memphis game is on the actual CBS on Sunday with no other games for competition.

They've been good in crunch time - unlike UC
Where we managed to lose by 2, 1 , 2 they have won those kinds of games.

As I posted in another thread, the Cats are just a few buckets, or turnovers away from being 24-5, 13-3 in AAC.
They just need to be tough & have someone man up at the end - doesn't have to be a senior (hear me Clark, Caupain)?

I love how they're playing too, just want to see them do it against some real competition! They have their chances in the next few games - if there was a time to get on a roll, now's about right.

I agree with you 100%. We've seen glimpses, like the second halves of the SMU and first Temple game but can they put "games" like that together against good teams.

A quick scouting report on Tulsa:
They are lead by their 2 junior guards James woodward (14.5 ppg) and Shaquille Harrison (13.7 ppg).
-I like how we stack up against harrison as he is a driving guard and we have great length and shot blockers, he shoots only 20% from behind the arc.
-their best guy in my opinion is woodward who is a 37% shooter behind the arc which is pretty good considering how many threes he takes a game. He has recorded 5 games where he has taken 10+ threes. so we cant let him get hot esspecially at home.
--they are very much a guard orriented team and rely on those two to generate the offense. There best rebounder is Rashad Smith who is a 6-7, 205 pound forward averaging 8.8ppg and 6.2 rpg, he not the tallest or heaviest so he doesnt concern me to much
--I think the key will be the our defenses ability to stop their guards and our ability to feed ellis and Clark. i believe those two match up well with Tulsa and should have strong games
---i think we are playing with some urgency like our season is on the line, i expect a good all around game from our cats and a good road victory against a team with an rpi of 30 (according to rpi live. com)

Hope it's not true, but do not have a great feeling with it being away. Maybe they can pull off another SMU game and win a big one away.

One things for certain about Tulsa is, their going to go hard at our guards. TC has to lead us to win game. KJ can't get scared and turn ball over. Tulsa ball pressure reminds me of Louisville. It's going be tough game I think we pull out with win.

If we somehow got into the B12, would that nullify existing TV deals and we can ditch these bottom feeders?

This game scares the heck out of me. It is senior night for Tulsa. Crowd will be crazy. They can clinch a share of regular season league title with a win. A win against us could clinch a tourney bid, in the least it will look good on their resume. We are going to get their best effort and we haven't exactly lite it up on road this year. Kids better be focused and ready to compete.

Good thing they don't have any! They do have 7 Jrs though (8 if you count the guy that doesn't play).
Thanks for that update. Still think it will be a crazy full house for them. Their two remaining ganmes are at home against US and at SMU. If we are to win it will take a huge effort. Hope the kids are up to it.

7 juniors...dang that's a lot. Hope Frank is refilling the cupboard. I hope they play a better non conference schedule next year. I also hope the AAC actually makes them play all the top 4 schools, SMU, UC, UConn, and Memphis home and home. They got spoonfed this year.
