UC Hands Down Punishments

i am not surprised, but it makes no sense that Kenny Frease does not receive a suspension...you cannot basically go into the stands to taunt or threaten an opposition's fan...i am not surprised by the XU suspensions and the blind eye that is being turned regarding them...they are a catholic school and america sees them doing no wrong...

Reaffirms Eggsavier as a joke institution.

Joke players.

Joke coach.

Joke administrators.

Joke punishments.

So much for accountability and being "men." Laughable.

So what you're saying here is, Frease interacted with fans of an opposing team on his home court yelling at him=suspension? He didn't go into the stands, and you admitted that yourself.

You realize how dumb that sounds, right?

Basically, he was yelling back at fans who were mocking him on his own home court, and you want him suspended? Sure, it's not the right thing to do, but no reason to suspend him for that.

Just wondering here, what do you think would be fair suspensions for each team? Please say what each player did to deserve the suspension you want for them.

A lot like the X fans that want Kilpatrick suspended for his pregame comments about Tu that apparently instigated everything.

I think you view intent of conduct.

Gates, Lyons and Wells get 6 games.

Tu gets 3 games.

Walkon for Eggs gets 6.

Frease gets a huge black eye, scar and suspension for his conduct after the game.

Ellis gets 6.

Mbodji gets 2 or 3.

Guyn gets 1, maybe? I mean, I didn't see him do much. He got drilled then ran around like a crazy man.

I might be missing someone.

FWIW, KingsCourt sounds like a clown in this thread. I'm not calling him a clown, just stating that he sounds like a clown. Why? Because clowns make me laugh.

HAHAHA

Couldnt figure out what he was trying to do.

Maybe concussed, that was strange to see

You think three Xavier players should get 6 game suspensions for that? I guess we will just have to disagree here, I just don't see 3 Xavier players doing something as bad as what Gates did.

Tu deserved 3 game suspension for what, exactly?

I've never heard a Xavier fan say he should get suspended, I think you're making it up. However, that would be a very, very dumb statement.

For yelling at the UC staff to start everything on the last possession and for putting his hands on Guyn's face first (check out the video from behind UC's bench). Also for being the biggest punk in college basketball. He deserves back pay from Butler and the Shootout last year.

I'm pretty sure an attempted punch is a 1 game suspension, you want 3 for him supposedly touching someone's face? I think a T would be the most he would get for that.

3 game suspension for trash talking.

Lyons threw punches, why all the punishment on Gates end? Because he was coordinated enough to land his? Intent is all that counts. The man tried to assault people. He clearly deserves a six game suspension and so does Wells, for side swiping Guyn.
Tu instigated the entire event. Clearly he should get a suspension, I'm not sure he deserves six games. But if Gates gets a six game suspension, so should everyone who threw a punch. Ellis reacted to Lyons and others, I'd call it self defense. Mbodj ... Yeah, he deserves 6. He could have really hurt Kenny. So could Gates, but obviously one meat hook to the grill was enough for him.

Frease should get a suspension for having verbally threatened Larry Davis's wife and daughter. You can't do that, I can't do that, why the exceptionism there? I don't know how long his should be, I imagine the humiliation of having his knees buckle under him like that, probably counts as some punishment. Really, his suspension should have come after the head butt, much like Tu's should have come after the punch, much like Mack should have never been hired, for dating an 18yo girl when he was a 25 year old assistant, or when he screamed at highschool girls from an opposing team for celebrating in their locker room...

Obviously, these things are in the past; but if Xavier fans don't know why they're getting looked at worse in this one, I don't know what to tell them.
Clean up your act, stop getting athletes who are borderline retarded and can't speak the english language. Those two kids make K-Mart sound like a Rhodes scholar.

You mean landing a punch?

All 3 eggsavier players threw punches too.

The walkon threw two punches at Gates, one when Gates was restrained by coaches.

Lyons and Wells jumped Ellis in the corner and threw tons of punches before Kelvin Gaines had them running backwards. Seriously....they went running backwards when Gaines came to help Ellis. Parker was also trying to restrain Lyons.

Lyons and Wells threw more punches then Gates.

Gates is just the only one that has a decent punch. Lyons and Wells were throw overhand punches like women. Yancy had a nice, solid punch using his hips. It is clear that Yancy was well schooled on how to throw a solid punch.

Yes, in my opinion, the #1 instigator of the whole thing should have received 3 games.

Couldn't agree more. It is clear that they have not taken english courses in college, or the english courses at eggsavier are terrible.

I would be more embarrassed with Holloway's and Lyons' post game comments and their inability to speak english at all, rather than their conduct in the fight and throughout the game. Two little smurfs that cannot speak. Great representatives for that other university in Cincinnati.

First off, Yancey threw several punches, let's not act like he only threw one. Secondly, I would say blindsiding someone who wasn't looking at you is far worse than people going at each other like real men. Only few UC fans claim it wasn't a sucker punch, but pretty much everyone else in the country calls it a cheap shot.

So you think he should get 3 for trash talking, and for having a hand close to (or on) an opposing players' face? That is a technical foul at best in any other game.

This wasn't any other game obviously. Had Tu acted like a normal member of society the game ends with players shaking hands.
