UC Hands Down Punishments

I think he was just pointing out that it may be easier to recruit to the Big East vs the A10. You had said previously that Xavier in the A10 is making it easier to recruit.

And as I was hinting, winning goes along with recruiting, beating St. Weldaventure, Fordham and Dayton every year, is much easier than say beating Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Georgetown, Louisville, UConn, West Virginia, Villanova, Notre Dame... Well you get the point.

His comment was that the trick to winning championships was to be found in the A-10, it was a stupid comment and I scolded him as such.

The whole country believed Kennath sucker headbutted Yancy last year. Again, Yancy laughed it off. Hit the weights kennath

Not that it matters, but that didn't happen last year, it was 3 years ago. I don't believe he even got a T for doing it. :D

I wouldn't call it blindsiding though, they were staring right at each other.

Seriously, how old are you?!

LOL just having fun here.

I assumed throwing punches but not landing would lead to an equal suspension....

Once again X proves not.
Mark Lyons throws and whiffs - 2 games!
Ellis throws and whiffs - 6 games!

Xavier seems GUTLESS with this decision

Ellis did throw the first punch though..which you could argue started the punching from both sides. :)

Pretty much what I'm saying, Ellis started the whole brawl.

I guess I meant he could get drafted based on potential. He has the size and some talent=potential

I think it helps that he's improved his conditioning greatly, and developed more moves.
I have to give it to UC's big man coach for that.
I wonder how Chris Wright would have turned out with a decent coach...

So did everyone

That doesn't make it correct though.

Brittney Griner, completely unprovoked, punched a Texas Tech player in the face two years ago during the middle of the game and fractured her orbital bone. She received a two game suspension.

What about the attempted head stomp? I imagine that would be worse then a punch. Could you imagine if that landed? Blindsided to the head and while down head gets stomped. And everyone was mad at Dez for a push!?!?!

Not accurate. The man charged, by judge legend, with the start of the throw down got yet another week suspension.

Tu slaps a player. Slaps? really.... o well.. 1 game

Without that none of this happens. I dont see how anything but 10 games is legit.

Probably in the NBA. I have no idea how that Dayton coach got a job offer from anyone in the country other than Liberty.

Agreed. He had potential...why anyone chooses to go to Dayton for basketball is beyond me

I will look at the most important stat. Wins. Kenny 3. Gates 1.

But, Gates did a good job blindsiding him, and you are doing a good job bragging about that. (I am not surprised to see you brag about a blindsided punch...speaks volumes about your character.)

Saying Frease is better than Yancy because he is 3-1 against him might be the dumbest thing I have ever read. The first time you mentioned it in this thread, I honestly thought you were joking...and then I see it like 3 more times. Get real dude. Yancy's numbers:

Sr year - 18 pts, 12 rebs, 7-15 shooting (kenny had 13 and 13)
Jr year - 22 pts, 14 rebs, 10-16 shooting (Kenny had 8 and 7)
So year - 18 pts, 6 rebs, 8-16 shooting (Kenny had 9 and 5)
Fr year - 2 pts, 5 rebs, 1-4 shooting (Kenny had 4 and 1)

But yeah you're right bud, Frease was the MAIN reason for beating us. How bout you do some research before throwing nonsense out there like that.

Obviously you won't agree, but from the channel 12 view, I think it was tough to say that he even touched him, let alone slap him.

What am I missing

It is harder to recruit in the Big East, that's because the competition is tougher and you can end up with a much different result in conference, than if you play in a league that only has 2-3 good teams per year.
Can you end up with better caliber players? Sure. You can also wind up a Depaul or Providence, below 14 other teams, who on any given night, can knock off the top of the A-10.

The Big East gives you exposure + more money.
That helps, so does having an easy ticket to punch into March.
That the Big East won't give you.

So you would rather have the player with the good stats on your team and go 1-3, vs a player that went 3-1?

Not that this will change any argument, but I think we can factor in the roles each player had for the team. Kenny has never been a first or second option like Gates has.

Still, I would rather have the player that went 3-1 any day.
