I'll take that as a refusal. See you soon.
I am okay with not being ranked. I thing being #26 is fair considering we weren't getting any votes. If we handle business tomorrow at Houston we have a great chance of winning the next 5 games. I do have a problem with only received 13 votes in the coaches poll. That is straight disrespect and I can't really say more than that.
It would be nice to be able to stay ranked most of 2014 just so our Freshman know/learn what its like being a ranked team and bringing it every night. This is something recent past UC teams have not been able to do and that should change.
And just to make a jab at Eggsavier, well because I can. They have a 7 game winning streak and only getting 3 votes and 0 in the coaches. Suck on that
Ranked #22 in ESPN Power Rankings

And for those of you who have Espn Insider, in the Jay Bilas top 68 teams in the country segment, he has us at #19!

No AAC coaches among the 31 who vote this year. May have something to do with just 13 voting points in coaches' poll.
I got a chuckle out of Bilas not including x in his top 68. the l'il east is a shell of it's former self.
Really? That just doesn't seem right to me. I would say I doubt this is on purpose but I would think they would try to balance out votes by conference as best as they could.

I was bored yesterday and checked out XHoops and you should see all they crying. They can't believe that they were left out. Many of them tweeted Bilas and he responded that it was an oversight and he would fix it.
Many times this week I have heard from Bilas and Rothstein that they will be interested to see who gets more bids, the A10 or the NBE.
That conference is really in decline. After Nova, there's a whole lot of average. Marquette and G-town might recover but they seem to play to the level of competition. Butler's not the same without their coach and after McDermott graduates Creighton goes back to normal. It was mentioned in one of the recruiting threads (i think the 2016 one) that a lot of those teams get really good recruits and these teams still don't win. Throw in playing a lot of games in obscurity on foxsports1 and that's a recipe for disaster. Mick is right about trying to stay on ESPN as much as possible.
There are 32 conferences in division I basketball, so someone is bound to be left out.
I frowned when the AAC took a lesser payday with ESPN over NBC or whatever but now it seems like the obvious choice. The amount of power ESPN holds over the mindset of millions of fans is incredible and thus far, theyve seemed to turn the nation away from the new Big east. Simply Awesome.

The TV ratings for Big East basketball games on FS1 are something like 0.2. Basically, no one is watching.
