Anyone notice Kirks two arm seal anytime his teammates drive? You would think the refs eould catch on.

Either way, the team responded well after starting so poorly; good experience for the young guys moving forward.

In terms of offensive ability and poise:
Caupain >> Guyn > Johnson.

Caupain if he doesn't mess up should play 25-30 minutes next game.

Guyn is taking too many threes today, just like last year...Caupain is looking like the better option at point...

This is a much needed reality check for this team...should learn a lot and grow from this...sure wish the Shoe' could be that rowdy...

Didn't get to watch the game, so I am watching replay right now. From the box score, I noticed a few things: 1) it looks like we were overwhelmed by their bigs, 2) Shaq Thomas went MIA again and we need his slashing ability in games like this where we clearly can't control the middle, 2) Rubles didn't do much, and 3) Caupain must play more than Caupain, even though we know that Caupain will probably have some growing pains.

As I've said all season, patsy schedule and no shooters. Both issues got them today. UMASS Lowell and Kennesaw State prepare you to play nobody. Cronin can't recruit shooters. Jackson, Rubles, and Kilpatrick reverted back to last year's versions. Very disapointing effort today.

I really think we could have won this game if we were a little more prepared. 3 freshmen in our rotation and 7 home games to start the year. If we start out next season with 7 home games in a row, I'm going to pull my hair out.

Our defense was pretty good for the most part. Not much we can do about the big guys... they were going to get theirs no matter what. But coming in they had a guy averaging 20 and 2 guys averaging 19... they scored 24, 15, and 10. Not bad, all thing considered.

I will say that I am downright alarmed by the lack of offense in this program. I have been for a few years now, but every time we put up 50-something against a good team, I panic a little more.

Noticed something that won't always show up in the box score-Jermaine Sanders followed his shot multiple times. So many people hot dog it nowadays, gotta love the extra effort.

It is the same song and dance every year. UC simply doesn't have enough players who can create consistent offense. After every game we say the same thing, "If they only made a few more shots!"

I will concede this New Mexico team is a very bad match up for Cincinnati. They have two effective big men that can score. I have hopes for the future because Caupain and Johnson were very effective is spurts today.

I stand by my statement. The offense runs better through Caupain today.

LOL...Nice try...you said nothing about who the offense should run through. You said this...

Caupain needs to shoot more. Kilpatrick should go home.

The second part was...and still is...ridiculous. Although the first part is questionable...I won't pick on it too much...but SK showed you why we need the ball in his hands as much as possible. I am starting to think Caupian is #2 in that perspective after today. Couldn't figure out why he was missing for so much time in the second half.

Would we have been better prepared to play on the road had we played New Mexico the third game of the season on the road? I don't get the complaint of playing seven straight home games. Your first road game will be your first road game no matter where it falls on the schedule. Should we go play at USC Upstate and give up some revenue to be better prepared to play New Mexico on the road? How were we unprepared? When we play Louisville and face a top five team will we be unprepared because we won't have played a top five team prior? We play X next week, will we be unprepared because we haven't scheduled a rival earlier?
