UC Offenses Changing

I want to believe this

From what I saw against Wright St, there was more movement. However, I didnt see the amount of passing to utilize that movement. If you look at the 3's that were made, few had to do with inside outside ball movement. Most were hit after about 1 or 2 passes from beyond the ark. I still saw the offense being started out by midcourt. The only difference was, they were shooting into the ocean.

A couple of times I did see good basketball offensively. I saw Gaines get a pass near the baseline and immediately he hit a cutting guard for an easy layup. I saw a transition 3 from Killa. I saw cash and Dixon driving to the basket on a couple of occasions (just finish now).

With this being said, I am optimistic that it was a step in the right direction. Now, they have to learn how to use that movement efficiently

For most of the game they played without a post presence, so of course there wouldn't be an inside-outside game. I thought the ball movement was better, but the guards still need to penetrate more to draw secondary defenders. Cash did it a few times and got a couple of and-1's.

I'm saying the made 3's were off of a couple passes. They werent off dribble drive penetration and a kick out. I saw Gaines do a lot of pick and roll at the top of the key, but the guards didnt work well off of that

I'd agree with that. For the most part the 3's were good rhythm shots though. It was good to see Justin Jackson get back to attacking the basket from the high-post. I haven't seen that since the exhibition games. He's got a very quick first step.
