I definetly think he is trying. Why not try but to think we are on the level of these other programs where they would be willing to come here, is kind of dumb. I'm saying you have to start somewhere.

I'm not interested in taking road games without a return home game. That's mid major stuff there and this program is not a mid major. No need to start acting like one.

I just see us going 30-3 and getting a 5 seed and want something to change. Not saying it will be ideal

The AAC will not be this bad every year. UConn, Temple & Memphis are generally more competitive than they've been this year. That won't fix everything, but it would help.

thats great that he wants that. We all do, but he and the fans have to realize we aren't at the level where they will come here. It's the same reason we don't do a home and home with Albany or someone like that. We have to start somewhere. If it's a neutral or road just take it
Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner.

I think if we can get an early buy-road game next year against duke, ucla, Kansas, etc..I say take it. Not saying it's possible but it Can do nothing but help and next year we will have a chance. Would prefer a neutral tho
I liked when BK said very would play osu in a parking lot somewhere. I'd like to see Mick come out and say we will play anyone on a neutral court and some as a buy game on the road. We're willing to play North Carolina, duke, Kentucky. Put it out there. It shows he's standing up for the team. It gets the fans excited. We need to get this done. We need that for our strength of schedule, and for the players to get used to that level of competition. the NCAA tournament is going to be a huge step up from our conference. I hope it doesn't bite us next month.

Same reason Ohio State won't play us

Yeah, but we shouldn't be wusses. We need top 50 or 75 RPI games. I doubt we lose to them more than one out of three or four times. Play on a neutral Court. Obviously Dayton arena is a huge huge Home Advantage. Maybe we can play someone else. But there are teams out there that we should be scheduling.

If we are worried about getting games, just get a couple of these games. I'm sure saint Mary's, Dayton, Whichta st are looking for games also. Its not duke but it way better than Albany. But like I said earlier I don't understand how scheduling works.

We are in a Mid Major conference though. I'd let UK buy us. I mean, it could be an ESPN primetime game and we could give them hell.

Great for recruiting. Great Exposure. And Great for your resume.

Ego will keep us playing B level teams in Home and Homes

I don't even think you have to win. If you play a tight game, people will remember that. Help preception. Might get blown out but that could happen at home also with those teams

Mick stated in the past that he talked to Jay Wright about scheduling a series and Wright proposed a neutral site game which Mick balked at. Time to start scheduling those types of games...

I remember him saying this. Also seem to remember him saying Jay Wright wanted that neutral location to be in Philly or somewhere very close. Mick basically said it wouldn't really be a neutral game. I get it you're straight Mick bashing now, but have to have all the facts. Mick isn't dodging anybody nor is it unreasonable to want home and homes with good teams nor is it unreasonable to not go putting yourself in disadvantaged situations just to schedule.

Truth be told, neutral games for the most part have to be set up and payed for by someone, usually in a mini tournament set-up. Mick has no control over what tournaments we get invited to and hasn't turned down any chances to play anybody in a fair deal.

Agreed. No team would pay for UC to come to their gym anyway and we aren't taking charity and setting ourselves up for a high percentage loss to play at a Rupp arena or somewhere similar. There's nothing to gain. Seasons are defined by winning your conference and making noise in March. Playing a road game in December for no return is kind of pointless and stupid.
