UC vs. Syracuse

UC has never won 4 consecutive regular BE games....I don't see that changing now unfortunately. That's a pretty telling stat IMO.

It tells that the Big East is/was the best overall conference in college basketball. Too bad Pitt and Syracuse decided to destroy it by leaving.

A telling stat because you don't think UC is that good or a telling stat because the Big East is that tough, please tell :D

Can we beat Cuse without Cash if it comes to that? Yes we could but Jaquon and SK would both need to have 20+ in my opinion. Rubles would need to have 10+ and the rest of the 20ish points would have to come from the other players. If that doesnt happen unless Sanders or Shaq has a monster game I don't see the Cats winning this one. Going to stay optimistic though until the final buzzer.

I really thought they needed to win 1 of 2 btw MU and SU so at this point I won't be upset at all if they lose. Of course I expect them to lose, especially without Cash but at least they got the MU win.

I will bet you $10,000 Syracuse wins the game. Time for you to man up and back up what you post.

I have a feeling you will break even on this bet regardless of outcome.

I def think it shows the BE is that tough but also it shows why UC has been in the "tier 2" level of the BE. I'm not saying UC isn't good bc we haven't won 4 games in a row but it is frustrating for sure. I wonder how many other teams in the BE have won 4 in a row.

Barring SK being hot and somebody else hitting 3's, this is going to be a tough one.

Today would be a good day for Jaquon Parker to go off a la against Marquette in 2012.

Quick passes, bigs move in the paint, penetration, screen the outside of the zone, flash and hit the 12-15 foot shot, crash the boards, get back on D.

To me the key to todays game is getting the ball to the high post, and working from there, that opens up so many options against the 2-3. Can have the drop down pass to the low post, cutter from the back side, pass out to open shooter at 3 pt line. Also someone other than SK needs to be able to consistently hit from the outside. Titus and Shaq driving the lane would be a bonus if they can make some plays. If they get stuck passing around the perimeter all day, forget about it. Put a fork in em they'll be done.

Not impressed by cuse at all. Uc dominates and wins by 10

You're not impressed by Duke, Michigan, or the 2012 national champion UK Wildcats. I'm sure you're not impressed with John Wooden's long string of championships either.

Mick is great. UC is the best team. Blah, blah, blah.

What an idiot.

I am surprised when reading different articles about today's game. Almost all of them, even the 'Cuse written ones are giving UC a lot of credit. I just think this game won't even be close. 'Cuse is always a matchup from hell and this years game is no different. We will struggle more than usually with getting baskets around the rim and if our jumper's aren't falling its going to be rough. If the was a game where our spacing and passing need to be beyond perfect, today is that day. My score prediction is 77-58 'Cuse.

Syracuse - 67
UC - 58

I think UC plays tough but gets worn down in the last 5 minutes and Cuse pulls away. We always seem to play great D in these big games but our inability to score on offense is what ultimately dooms us. If we hit our 3's and pick up our offensive pace we have a chance to win but if we aren't shooting well it's blowout city. I think we'll play good, not great.

I look for Cuse to win the game. Playing in the dome and shorthandled is much more than the Cats will beable to overcome. Cuse has talented players and a HOF coach. Without Cash we don't come close. With Cash I still see us on the short end. My heart is with the Cats but my head says this games belongs to Cuse. I hope I'm wrong.

Not to mention that they have the coach with the 2nd most wins all time, all though I'm sure if you asked BCM/Ralph they'd tell you Mick is a way better coach than JB.

JB is a HOF great coach and Mick is a up and coming very good coach. Time will tell if Mick can approach JB's success.

According to Dan Hoard Cash "was the first player out for pregame warmups...just shooting for now." For what its worth...

this would be a good game to have JDIII because of his shooting, I think jermaine saunders could get a lot of open looks, and he's hot right now, this team without cash has trouble driving to the lane, rubles and parker are the only two that can rely get to the rim in the half court offense, I think the foul line jump shot will be there all day, if we can get the ball in there, if we play good defense we will be in every game.................

I think its a long shot, but who knows with this team

go cats!
