People thinking we are gonna shoot worse at UCF... really? Did you see how many open looks we missed last night, was one of our worst shooting games of the year and wouldn't say it was because of great defense. We moved the ball around and go it to the open man plenty, shots just weren't falling. Not saying we will shoot lights out when we face them next but I have a hard time believeing we shoot worse than we did last night.

Youre right but its just the fact that percentage usually goes up when you can work the ball in the paint more and get a few closer looks. I see what you mean though. I mean we were wide open a lot just were missing. It's just overall you still wont get many close looks but I would expect a few more of the shots to fall too. Even if we hit 2 more 3s or so we win by 16 then. You can play that game all day, the what ifs. Just seems no matter what, when we play UCF it's always a little uglier. It has to be because of Tacko.

Don't assume it can't be worse. UCF is #1 in the country in FG% defense. What if Johnson doesn't hit 3 3s in Orlando? What if Washington doesn't hit any?

The reason we will beat them again is because we will hold them to under 60 points again. If we do that we will win the game.

What if Cronin's grandma gets stuck on zero deflections on the year?

Then I'm guessing someone else will.. I mean that's kind of our thing, one guy might be off but always someone there to pick up the slack.

I have very little concern about heading to UCF, we are the far better team and survived an off shooting night and still won by double digits.

After the first 5 minutes they played us even the rest of the way.

They are not great...but it's just not a good matchup for us. Although I think Gary was starting to figure out later in the game where to take his shots and still be confident in not getting blocked. Tacko's presence got in his head...but I think he will adjust next game and make them 8-10 footers with confidence. Even the missed 3's got to him. He was shooting like 44% from three in his last 14 or so games and decided he was off after two misses and not shoot anymore. He can knock them down...just keep shooting if you are wide open. He was passing up what amounted to practice shots.

We've shot between 33-39% from the floor in 4 of 5 AAC road games so far. The odds of us having another below-average shooting night on the road against the team with the best FG defense in the league are pretty strong I'd say.

I agree with you that we a much more talented team and should still be favored to win in Orlando. I hope that a big win on Sunday eases my concerns about our remaining road games.

I haven't been able to comment, but enjoyed reading everyone's takes.

My take, even though we only scored 60 points, I felt like we definitely tried to push the ball. Even near the end of the game the 3-pointer that Jacob made, was kind of early in the clock and aggressive. That's how you win these games.

I agree with Gary we should have taken it right at Taco. They're playing Zone you have to shoot threes, but I hope we take it at him a lot more. just like Derek Dickey used to say, take it straight into the chest of a shot blocker. Shooting too many jump shots is a recipe for disaster.

I think that if Troy changed speeds more he could really be dangerous. He did it last night on that fast break. He came up medium speed started to slow and then sped up and blew past the guy.

Really looking forward to Sunday. Have the late afternoon carved out for two hours of Bearcat bliss. Really really enjoying the season, and hearing all of the banter from you all.

Will bulldog and LT ever be back and NTS?

Ok... and what did we shoot against them yesterday? I didn't say we were gonna shoot great or even good, I said they probably won't shoot any worse than yesterday.

Funny how these "biggest fans" of our program magically disappear with all their negativity once we start having a bunch of success

Fall might be an exception to the take it right at them philosophy.

Bulldog and L-T won't be back. I think NTS is done with his ban but not 100% on that at the moment.

Yah...The only thing Tacko can do is stand around the bucket...That's it. Going the only place on the court he can be effective is a bad idea imo.

Always down for an inside scoop lol. I knew NTS got banned, didn't know anything happened with the other two.

Ha it never really came up like that so I figured might as well just say something once and for all so people don't have to speculate on it.

Yeah and the way those announcers talked about him you'd think he could do everything. He sure didn't seem to have much skill other than just being massive. He looked like one of this fake players you create in a video game.
