Game is Tuesday at 7 on CBS Sports Network
First 6 AAC Games w/ Tacko Fall (3-3)
54.33 ppg scored
50.17 ppg allowed
Last 4 AAC Games w/o Tacko Fall (2-2)
67 ppg scored
70 ppg allowed
We split with them last year. No way can we allow them to get in our way.
There is absolutely no way we struggle with them in this game. I could care less about BJ, Fall was the one who gave us issues. This could end up being like the Memphis game in Cincinnati. Cats should win by 20.

They were 78 when they played us. 65 the game before that.Wasn't UCF borderline Top 75 in KenPom before Tacko Fall got hurt? They're #100 now.
Would be nice to get Clark, Cumberland, and Evans some rest. Coach mentioned Clark and Cumberland being a little banged up lately. And Evans has played all but 1 minute the last 2 games. I know he can easily play 40 but that doesn't mean it's ideal.
Want to head into the conference tourney undefeated in league. This is another step in that direction. I don't consider any games gimme's. Need to be ready and focused.
Agreed. I don't want this all catching up with them like it did SK. We need some rest. Keith is capable of coming in for Jake even in bigger games I think it's important to keep Jake no more than 36 MPG against higher quality opponents and 30 MPG lesser quality like UCF.
We will have no problem with this team. This is basically just an average normal team without Tacko. The reason I feel we have struggled in the past and lost to them is because Tacko just the way he effects the game.
I think it will be UC - 15, but we win by 20+
As long as we keep winning it doesn't matter how long each player plays. Now in the tournament, conference and NCAA will be a different story. Coach keeps saying he has to keep his guys fresh physically and mentally. Gives other guys big minutes in big situations just in case of foul trouble in tournament guys on bench won't be over there head.My biggest reason for getting players out of the game is not rest...it's injury. If we are up a significant amount...get them out so they can't twist an ankle.
I am wondering if there is some sort of evidence that SK hit a wall or something. I mean he average 22.2 points in his last 5 games of his SR year. Which included tourneys.
Even our highest mpg average players over the last 2 years aren't hitting in the top 20 in conference in mpg. Why do we need the rest? I imagine the best players on all teams are used in a big way and I haven't seen any reports done that show a gradual reduction in production because of fatigue. Maybe there is one...IDK.
Why do our players need so much rest? Is there a stat we can point to that shows reduced productivity? My personal opinion is that adrenaline will get you where you need to go when it matters. When I think back over the years all I hear about is big players play big in big games...and most of those are going to be in March. And they do usually perform. But they have ALSO been used heavily all season.
I am wondering if the in season rest theory is bunk? What is the evidence to show we need to rest our best guys?
