So now you want to use a shortened season and make it seem like a 30 game season? I remember times when we had shooters have under 20% from 3 half way through only to get it back over 30%.

I know, these couple guys that talk about the program slipping into mediocrity or worse are kidding themselves about the Cronin era. Play 6-7 cupcakes and pad the schedule to play in a 2-3 bid league and only win the regular season 1 time in 12 years and two conference tourneys.

Playing a lot of subs and walkons since the return. Let’s not pretend we are winning these games at full speed. There CAN be a reason to find some optimism in the wins. For some fans you have to win by 20 no matter who’s on the court and that is not an objective view by any means

I never once said winning is not good.

Through out this game thread, I complemented the teams offensive strategy, vogt’s scoring and Keith’s game.

I’m glad they are winning and to me the winning is more a confidence builder. This Team stopped believing in themselves and now, with guns help of few slump busters, are feeling much better about themselves.

So yes at very minimum that is a positive. In fact I wasn’t offended by anything UC did today. More so that people are bringing up mason madsen after a win, like I have some sort of personal vendetta against him. I want him to succeed. If he makes me look like an idiot over his 4 year career, then I’ll be glad for him to Break the odds and win.

I think it says a lot about how poor our opponents are when after each win we actually drop in Kenpom.

Started the game at 92.. and my guess is we drop a spot again.

So we aren’t playing good basketball. We’re just winning against bad teams (and that’s at least a good start)


Keith had a great game and if continues putting up 14/8/4 uc will continue to improve with those 4 assists being the key. When he doesn’t force stuff and plays in the flow of the game, he’s really good. Not being in foul trouble helps

This is where the program is at just get by... would prefer to win than lose most assuredly the nature of both matters though. Let's just get this season done with asap. Or maybe because you tried to spew your nonsense claiming you heard it on Chads podcast and when Chad called you out you backtracked. You don't keep it between the lines, you subliminally try to pick at people and then when people fire back you get all defensive and claim the victim. MAW is now shooting 50% from three over his last 6 games. Ortg is almost back where it was last year. He's not driving the ball to the hoop mainly because we are setting up plays for Keith and DD or Harvey to do that.

MAW is hitting shots from the corner. That's a great spot for him to camp out for the kickouts.

Yah I would be happy with 4-2 for sure. Harvey and Eason just combined for 18 minutes last game....so there is still too many changes to get consistent. I would like to start seeing some continuity in minutes but I am also glad we got to see the bench getting experience over this 4 game stretch. I want to see Eason and Harvey close out the year strong for several reasons.

Dou being unplayable is actually hurting Tari more than anyone. Dou needs to get his shit together and learn how to play ASAP. If Dou cant come off the bench and give meaningful minutes at the 5 then we are forced to play Tari at the 5. And he cant play the 5. Thats where the majority of his fouls come from. He cant play the 4 if we have no backup at the 5.

I dont think Dou is ever going to figure it out.

Starting to really wonder what we got with Mason. In HS he played PG and focused on distributing more than he probably would have if his brother wasn't on the same team. If he was a feature player would his ranking be a lot higher? Gabe certainly has the height advantage and some other play making ability. Mason was second fiddle to Gabe but what if he wasn't?

So anyway he was able to gain some valuable ball handling skills by playing point. He's got the shot, quick trigger, good FT's, pretty decent athleticism, fire, competitiveness, cockiness, good BB IQ, good work ethic, etc etc.

Fast forward to college and he is now a SG with some ball skills and all the rest to go with it. That makes for a pretty damn good shooting guard. I think he will (over time) be able to make more drives to the lane as he gets comfortable with his ability. Heard a lot about the Madsens being gym rats and that is going to pay off. He's off to a better start than most would have expected so he is WAY ahead of the curve already.

But he's gonna have heavy competition. Next year we have to play Eason at the 4 which means Davenport will play some 3 and back up the 4. Gabe, Harvey and MAW will be looking for minutes on the wing as well. That is going to be one hell of a log jam with DD at point and Mikey as back up. Something has to give here.

If we can manage to get 2 bigs...hell even 3 bigs. Two transfers and maybe one HS...that will be a good set up. I don't see any need to recruit guards at all right now.

Yeah, my problem with Justin is he just makes things up and when he’s called on it, he acts like a child with things like, “I guess this team is going to the final four”, “brannen is the best coach ever”. He also says things that are clearly trolling, then acts innocent. I can’t tell if that’s actually how the guy is in real life or it’s just a big troll. I hope it’s a troll
