Don't want to start the Cronin talk, but I'm about to start the Cronin talk..
There is no Cronin talk. He will be here next year and should be. Anyone thinking or saying he shouldn't is wrong. We may have gotten beat by the team that will win the title.

For one I'm very excited to see Cumberland as a starter next year... lean up a little bit and play 30 min a game, no way he wouldn't average 12 a game or so.

Crazy that UCLA had 4 losses and won at Kentucky and got a 3 seed. But the ACC teams like Duke, UNC, and Louisville all had 7-9 losses and got better seeds.

Just a reallllllly terrible draw for UC. There's not another team in the country that is capable of what UCLA is able to do offensively.

You just really need to score more than 67 points against a team like that.

Cumberland was great. Him, Evans and Clark have to be aggressive next year. Should have a great team next year

If we need 80 points to win some games where will it come from? It'll have to be:

If Evans, Cumberland, and Clark can combine for 45/game next year that will be good but still need to find 20-40 more points per game from the other 2 starters and the bench. Who is expected to score next year?

30 wins. No reg season OR conf tourney champs. Bounced in the first weekend of the NCAA tourney AGAIN. Rinse and repeat.

11 years and I am still waiting on a signature UC moment under Cronin

UCLA could have been a 2 but still the PAC doesn't compare to the ACC. 4 losses in the PAC is roughly equal to 6-8 losses in the ACC meat grinder.

It may be a next year talk a lot but regardless of that we are getting better every year. Listening to Cronin today in the press conference that the days of the athletic big guys who can't shoot is over. He knows what kind of players he needs to recruit to win. And by the way it's gone the last couple years and next season he is adjusting to it. Our offense is gonna be better next year there is no doubt about it.

Going to have to start talking about ceiling again. Cronin might be one of the UC greats but kids aren't going to want to join some third tier conference with limited NBA prospects when surrounded by the schools we're surrounded by in the conferences they are in.

I have no clue how to fix that since we've been whiffed on conference realignment more times than I care to count at this point. The good teams we need to schedule to raise our players' bar just don't bother picking up the phone. Mick is doing what he can with a ton of obstacles he is not in power to do anything about. I'll be a lot happier if I can just accept our lot and enjoy the games without expecting miracles

Broome, one of the top scorers in the ncaa last year

Yeah because the ACC is fairing so well right now. With only their top seed in the sweet 16, out of 9 teams. Wouldn't use them as my example of a good conference right now.

Is it next year yet :(

It has been next year every year for the last 5 years

It feels like at least 1 SR holds us back every year and gets minutes no matter what. Not sure that will be the case next year. And of course Johnson shows up huge tonight and Caupain struggles. Just didn't click. Bummer.

Incredibly proud to be a Bearcat fan.

2nd half was disappointing, and we let them control the pace. We should have known that was going to be the game plan and they would come out fired up.

But nonetheless, we hung with them. We were a few shots away from an entertaining finish.

Next year I expect huge strides from Cumberland and Evans. Hopefully, K-Wash can be an enforcer (he is so capable, and we needed him to be today). Gary will always be solid. And Cane Broome is going to be a great player for us as well.

Already ready for next season! Go Cats! #CincinnatiProud
