So I just listened to the Post game show with Dan Hoard and man it’s even hard for Cronin to give Cane some props.
yeah, but we need more than 4 points from Evans
The fact that he started Jennifer at all just proves how stubborn Mick is. If that's your plan there's literally no reason to start Jennifer at all. Makes you realize even more how much ego Mick has and his inability to admit he was wrong.
Uhhh he can’t but a bucket right now. He and Cumberland are hot garbage from 3 lately.
Teams are facing guarding so he can’t catch and shoot. Him on the ball gets the ball in his hands
See and everyone is talking about this and that, I feel like Evans slump is the reason we are struggling. You throw in Cumberland being so off too, that's enough to make us lose the close games
Jenifer was sick and wanted to try to play, that's at least the reason he was only in as long as he was.

So Mick had a perfect opportunity to start Broome without hurting Jennifer's confidence and wasted it...sounds about right.

What if the reason Evans is slumping is because of everything he is being asked to do by the coach?
Any potential NBA player should be asked to do a lot. If that’s the case that falls on Evans and he’s not who we think he is. He needs to take over
Mick has white knuckled his way through out this entire season (minus the first 4 games). It's time for him to let go of the wheel and see what this team can do. Stick with the best starting 5 and tell them to get after it. Let them make a couple of mistakes without the fear of getting yanked.
Cane also had a horrible missed gamble in the press allowing the ballhandler to blow by. Then Kyle compounded the mistake by being flat footed in the lane and giving up an easy layup. It was just one bad play, but I think representative of the reason why Mick doesn't play them together. We can talk about their offensive potential all we want, but I believe defense is the reason they don't play as much as many here want them to.
