Below is UC's Off. & Def. Efficiency rank (Kenpom) the last 5 years:

YEAR Off. Def.
2013 116 15
2014 98 9
2015 95 16
2016 69 16
2017 34 14

Interesting to note that the Defense has remained elite while the offense is steadily improving. I think UC will be a Top 25 Offense with Broome and Cumberland as starters.

I agree, we will definitely see another jump on the offensive side of the ball could see us getting around 20th in offensive efficiency. However I think this will be the year our defense takes a little step back as well. Obvious Evans, Clark and Washington should be able to hold it down, our giarda are gonnna be a big step back from what we had defensively this year. Would be nice to end up in the top 20-25 in both categories.

Agreed although I'm hoping a big improvement by Brooks (with more minutes) and to a lesser extent Scott makes up for our likely decrease in guard defensive efficiency.

Is that a lot better? No clue what that means. Eye test says they are a lot better

Sorry, I thought you would get it. I'll explain.

1.002 points per possession is pretty bad. That ranked South Carolina's offense as #195 according to TeamRankings.

Their tourney performance of 1.16ppp would rank them, if that's how they played all season, as the second best offense in the nation behind UCLA.

Their offense has been playing much more efficient during the tourney, and by a huge margin too. If they keep that up, as long as continue to play stellar defense, they can win it all.
