What's bad is that this team appears at times to have no offensive plan and if they do the players have no ideal how to execute it. They held UConn without a basket for 6 plus minutes the other night and it meant nothing because they couldn't score either.

Mentally this team is timid. The post players hesitate after offensive rebounds. The guards seem unsure with the ball. Floor leadership is non-existent. They look like a team hoping to win instead of believing they are going to win.

This could go real bad if they don't reach down mentally. Cash, JP, SK and Jackson need to push this team and take over it. This team needs to make/will something good to happen to turn this around.

I thnk mental toughness is a huge issue right now. I do get frustrated when Cronin says they don't follow a scouting report. Rather than let a guy like Napier go nuts in the UCONN game, call some more timeouts and make an in-game correction.

It doesn't even matter because the players obviously have tuned the coaches out.

That could be it. But it could be they're getting mixed signals from the coach. Not long ago he told them to keep shooting 3's. He was confident they would go in, the cold streak would end. Well, hasn't ended yet.

Agreed.

The big men should be taught to never lay the ball in the hoop. Each time they touch the ball the mentality should be the shove the ball down someone's throat. Kenyon, Max and Hicks had that mentality. Hicks wasn't the biggest or most fluid offensive player, but his aggressiveness made him a valuable asset at the offensive end.

Rubles, Mbodj, David and Gaines should try and bring the back board down each time they get the ball. Enough of the jumpers and up and unders. Slam the freaking ball on someone!!! Please

Simply out-muscle the defender in the process of the slam. There will be more fouls than rejections. Guaranteed!

Two months ago I was so excited to watch the ND matchup on NBC and now I am kind of dreading it. Oh how UC has fallen :-/ one thing is for sure, you can't say we haven't had our chances!

me to. now i have that feeling you get when you know something bad is about to happen but you can't get away from it.

kinda like ww1 when you "go over the top" from the trench. you know you are going to get slaughtered, but you have to go..

not to put any more pressure on this game, but just heard an interesting fact.

only 34 teams have been selected to the ncaa tourney with sub 500 conference record.

Bottom line is the recruiting the last several years has been poor, and the cats are paying for it now.

If Cronin can now keep landing classes like the one coming in, everything will be fine. If he only does it every 4 years, then you've seen what UC will become.
