Wait! Two positive posts including a passed eye test AND complimentary remarks about our coach?!?

Who are you and how did you hack into this account?

Lol. Glad to have you (belatedly) join the rest of the pack. At least for now...

You would be amazed at how I defended Mick Cronin at times over the past few years. Recent lackluster NCAA tourney losses have caused a change in my tune. Waiting for that validation still....but ive always appreciated SOME things hes done

It said a minute in the boxscore. You are entitled to your opinion and so am I, here it is.

I don't think it's funny that a kid comes in the last .2 seconds of the biggest game of the year to date. I'm sure all his teammates were happy for him that he got in the game. Did you see Rudy? If you did , you must not have learned anything from the movie. A team is made up of all its parts. I'm sure Tobler works just as hard or harder than most of kids on our team. I for one am estatic for him!

Tobler probably pumped to say he got in the crosstown shootout. I think the real reason him and Jennifer came in is to take seniors out and give them a curtain call.

It was .2 ... not really an opinion, that's how it went down.

Not disputing the .2 seconds.
I just don't think it's a big joke that Tobler got in the last .2 seconds of the game. I'm sure his teammates didnt think it was a joke. I'm sure they were pushing Mick to put him in. Little things like that are what make a team great.

I think you took my comment way the wrong way. It didn't crack me up he got .2 seconds of playing time, it cracked me up because I think it was an F U to mack.

Okay but that isn't why he did it in my opinion. Mick did it to get Tobler in the game. Evidence of that is that Tobler went in the game. It meant a lot to the team to get him in a Crosstown shootout. That supersedes any grudge he has with Mack.

It was Tobler's first W vs X too. I'm glad he got on the floor. I think that's all it was by Cronin. Had to be a perfect situation.

Exactly!
A team is a sum of its parts. Most of the time the team spends together is outside of the actual game. Any good team wants everyone to share in the victory.

Great day to be a Bearcat!!

We outplayed them in every aspect except FT shooting and Blueitt just shooting ridiculous. Love seeing how thus team fights and doesn't give in and can score the ball when needed. At the end of the day, I could care less anything how it went down, beating X is all that matters.

the move was more about letting troy and kevin come out of the game to cheers than putting in tobler and jenifer...

Each game like this erases a little remaining doubt about the team or the coach. Last night erased a large chunk of data I've been wanting to purge.

We have a very determined and well rounded team with 6 unique players who can net 15+ on a given night. Several subs that can give quality minutes.

We have great chemistry and determination and have been making great second half adjustments for the most part. We can win in a variety of ways and from a variety of players which is tough to game plan. Cumberland added a new variety last night with the "human wrecking ball" game plan...Lol!

Seriously...We have a team that can withstand a gauntlet fury of abnormally great shooting, foul trouble, cold shooting nights from key players etc.

It's just fun to watch and my confidence is at an all time high in the Cronin era.

The big difference with this team that stands out in my mind
is our ability to win games with offense not just defense. Some games you have to just keep scoring especially in the tourney. Your right we have so many scoring options this year we haven't seen those long scoring droughts. You mix in great defense and we are going to be one major problem for anybody.

#39 AdjO #9 AdjD #313 AdjT. Perfect.

Interesting stats here. There was a post not long ago that gives some KenPom predictors that all recent national champs have had. Either they were top 22 or better in Offense and defense or they were top 10 in one category and 23-39 in the other. No winners ranked over 40 in either category.

I would call that perfect too...Lol!!

9 and 39...nice

I was just jerking your chain. We're all rooting for the same team.

Rewatched the game...
-Caupain was very strong with the ball. Really played with purpose.
-Clark's first bucket of the game was so nice. Caught it up top, worked his way in, back the guy down, and did his classic post move. He was assertive early. Big for him to show up like that.
-I think this game gave us a ton more confidence. We had 5 different guys who can create for themselves out there at times in the 2nd half.
-I loved Brooks going for the block with 0.2 left. Bluiett had 39, are we gonna let him get 40 by dunking to end the game? Yeah right! Chad had a good Brooks story on The Skinny Podcast. Coach said every pro scout that does any scouting of our team knows about Brooks.
-The announcers weren't giving Bluiett enough credit. I couldn't believe it. They were just saying things like "one of the better performances this year" or "in this rivalry". One of the better? That's it? Dude was f*cking 10-10 with 32 points like 25 minutes into the game. He had 26 at half. College players don't just not miss shots until they're in the 30s. He was out of his mind. It was an all-time performance in the rivalry and easily the best hot stretch I've seen this season. Amazing that we overcome these types of games. We are so hard to beat. My one friend I was with who bet on UC was asking for advice for the in-game bet he did, and I just said I can't guarantee anything but I know for a fact that this team will not stop. They will not let anything break them. It's awesome to know that about your team.

I just can't believe we scored 86. Whom would have predicted that? Just a few years ago we scored in the 40's against them and lost.

Incredible game, incredible atmosphere last night. I am so glad my prediction was wrong. Thought coach did a great job of substituting. He had me nervous a few times when he took the regulars out based on the score but I think that being a little more rested at the end helped a ton. My biggest disappointment last night is when I realized I had forgotten to tape the game.
I would think u can google watch ESPN and search from there.

How? Because UC beat a team at home who has lost 4 of 5, who's best player just left the team, who second best player was playing with one arm?

Or is it all these top notch AAC wins they keep racking up?

Yea, book those final four tickets..

In my opinion. Myles was not there best player. That is just laughable. Summer is the best player (was injured give you that). Bluett was the best player in the country on Thursday night, no question.
